The nearest mountain hut is Kaunergrathütte, located 0.9km east. Watzeberg hunting lodge is also relatively close. East-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Planggeroßferner, 0.5 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Madatschferner. The saddle is located west of the valley Pitztal. The saddle is located on the ridge Kaunergrat.
