Everything starts and ends with finances. SV air technicians excellently perform their work maintaining the Bell 412 helicopter, pilots are trained for such feats be it firefighting. Guys, every time hats off to you.

@vulpes, weather will clear up so it would be better for you to go in the reverse direction. If you have good fitness it's worth seeing upper Kriško lake then continue to Gamsovec, on to Luknja and start point. I did this tour, it took 12h with breaks enjoying and views on 2000ers and chamois. Your decision, good luck.

Last year I hiked the tour in the opposite direction. I think you won't need the via ferrata kit, if you have it in the backpack, nothing's wrong. Path is well protected, caution first.

On Friday I plan to go to Prisank up the Ridge path and back to Vršič via the southern path.
I was on Little Mojstrovka and Triglav without harness kit, but I'm asking if self-belay kit is needed on the Ridge path?

Today's trip from Rudno polje to Zajamniki and back to Uskovnica and further to the starting point. For this distance I needed 4 hours with stops. Snow sinks deep so snowshoes are welcome, but it's also possible without them to walk the mentioned path. Hikers were also coming from Sport Hotel direction.
