4.11.2025 - circular hike across 7 Bohinj pastures: Blato, Krstenica, V Lazu, Dedno polje, Ovčarija, Viševnik, planina pri Jezeru. No snow on the path, just some traces in the shade. Larches slowly losing color and needles.

The direct path from Planina Kuhinja is dry, there is still some snow between the shelter and the summit, which can be bypassed. On the other side, it is still winter.

I was there on Friday 3.2.23. To Lipanca without problems, further a poorer track which completely disappeared in the second part of the path, snow collapsing, so snowshoes quite necessary.

The path is closed between the junction for Zadnje okno and Planja saddle. Meaning the section taking about 1 hour is closed due to worn protections and mostly invisible markers. But the path from Vršič to the junction for Zadnje okno is just renovated, scree cleared, some cables added etc. So probably renovation planned further to Razor, better to wait...

Does this map mean that you can't park anymore at the starting point below planina Konjščica??

Has the path from Jezersko sedlo to Koroška Rinka been repaired yet or is it still closed?

Has anyone been to Stol in the last days via the climbing path from Austria? Passable without winter gear? Thanks for info.

Yesterday circular from Savica, via Komarča to hut at Seven, then via pastures Lopučnica, Kal, Razor to Hut under Bogatin and via Komna back to Savica. Larches have started changing color, but you'll need to wait another week or two for golden.

Over Razor no worries, over Povden more "airy" in upper part and can be icy in such conditions.

Road to Prtovč plowed to hunting hut, where now also large paid parking. From there on impassable. Along road to Jesenovec poor track beside touring track. From there over Kosmati vrh to Vratc snowshoes or touring skis recommended, as it sinks in. From Vratc past mine to hut and to Altemaver again barely a track. Gladki vrh and path through Razor comfortable track, small crampons useful.

Ločanka, how do you get to this path?

Has anyone been up here recently? Requesting info on conditions.

Today (Sunday, 3.5.2020) from Rut to Rodica. Effects of the nighttime front passage visible in last 20 min of ascent (frozen trail, bit of new snow on top). This will likely disappear in a day or two. Otherwise trail is dry. Whole ridge has quite some snow on north side, south slopes dry.

This is how it looked today from afar.

Between Rodica and Črna prst on the northern side of the ridge there is still quite a bit of snow, the southern side is practically bare - except what fell last night, that will probably disappear today.
