stankoju, I see we met at Mojca's hut. We two probably overtook you on the path. From there we went towards Ciprnik, but not to the summit, but descended to Planica via the hunter's path. That path was even harder in the upper part than along the ridge. Just narrow track, actually footsteps, sometimes almost ass-deep and without crampons it would be quite dangerous. Lower down nice though.

Today from Ljubelj to Zelenica, from there to Begunjščica (Veliki vrh), from there descent to Roblekov dom and via Roža to Prevala, from there via Bornova pot back to Ljubelj. Sun accompanied us from the start, at the top (as usual) mists, so poor views around. Very few people - it's Monday.

Total exactly 6 hours of moderate (not too slow) walking - no stops at huts or summit.

Mousala - 2925 m and not 1925 m, highest peak of the Balkans! I was up there four years ago. Otherwise good description!

Yesterday up climbing path and down Durce. Nothing much changed since last year, still all arranged as you wish. At top around 8:30, but sun on ridge path already heated the air properly and we could hardly wait to reach a gully where natural AC blew up the slope kindly.

At Grohot huge crowd, just before us about 60 kids arrived occupying all shade tables. Luckily slight breeze and we sat in sun no problem.

At Bukovnik last stop in cool shade with view to Olševa; we enjoyed a few minutes.

For such hot day surprisingly many people, over 20 degrees even at top.

And some yesterday's photos from another perspective ...

The road is dry and passable with any vehicle without problems.

Yesterday terrible bad weather was forecast for those parts, but that didn't deter us from visiting Snežnik. Luck favors the bold and ... Well, we rather count ourselves among the former. We managed up and down without rain, but it was very foggy, visibility at the top such that you almost ran into the hut before noticing it. The path is still about 90% snowy, snow wet and sinks deeply in places, so you can sink up to your butt. Nothing special otherwise, but I really recommend good footwear, otherwise you return to the start with proper puddles in your boots.

Just one picture for illustration ... nothing much to photograph! zavijanje z očmi

On Saturday we headed along this ridge. For starting point we chose end of road at Javor and via planina Suha and saddle Čez Suho first climbed to Rodica, then continued along usual path to Črna prst. Towards Bohinjska Bistrica we went behind Črno gora and descended to Mencinger hut, where transport waited.

Nice path, weather at start not the best, but improved early afternoon and sun accompanied us onwards. Surprisingly few visitors - on Rodica besides our group another five, on entire path from Rodica to Črna prst met maybe six hikers.

Today from Sv. Duh to Potočka Zijalka, to Obel kamen and along the ridge to Govca, then back to the starting point - Rogar farm. The ridge path is fully marked (though some marks are a bit older), so you can't miss the path and without any special difficulties. Only at one spot you need to use your hands. The path from Govca to Potočka Zijalka is in my personal opinion harder for the inexperienced than the ridge one.
I think the tour is suitable for everyone except beginners, also not too long - less than 4 hours at moderate pace.

After years of wishing, my better half and I finally went to Ojstrica yesterday (11.08.2011) with a friend and her son. Starting at Planina Podvežak, ascent via Mala Ojstrica, return via SPP to Kocbekov dom and back to Podvežak. The day was exceptionally nice, temperatures just right - short sleeves all the way, even at the summit no need for extra clothes. The path is pleasant, though long in kms, more time than height diff suggests.

Summit and Kocbekov dom had lots of people, especially for a workday. Most chose route from Kocbekov dom via SPP, so on the eastern ridge we hiked alone all the time.

Nice ascent, beautified by the nice day.

Let me add two snapshots too: same place, once in winter and once in summer.

Irina, at the first picture it's wrongly written that this is the terrace at Jagru. Actually it's the terrace of the hunting hut at Podmeji. Gostišče Jager is a bit lower by the road to Trbovlje.

Zalas, where/from whom did you get the info that someone froze? eek Can't find info anywhere?

Happy birthday and above all thanks for the work you put into the portal, which in my opinion has become the most visited and most informative among all similar ones in Slovenia. I hope you persist for a long time.

Today we climbed Storžič (all for the first time jezik ) through Žrelo and returned via Škarjev rob. The fixed protection on both paths was impeccable, but more caution was needed due to wet rocks - not so much from yesterday's rain but from extremely heavy dew. We met very few people on the trail, only about 20 at the summit.
After returning, we had an excellent meal at Koča pod Storžičem. Full praise to the keeper who can be an example to others.
