lino, of course, absolutely. I forgot to write that. Primitivism, malice, I would use an even harsher word.

well, yeah. When a storm, thunder, lightning catches us on the way and there's a bivouac nearby, at least I will hurry to it, maybe out of breath, confused, and enter inside. First that. (taking off shoes is not a priority in such cases) Only then will I start to absorb the surroundings, conditions, written and unwritten rules. Let the bivouac serve its purpose. And from materials durable enough to serve for decades of use. The shape of the bivouac comes last. Maybe when the storm passes and it's time for smart talk

North slopes of Krn can be snow-covered even late in June. This year is an exception due to low snowpack. The path to Batognica itself is nothing special. Those few steps of "adrenaline" and "airiness" your better half will manage easily. Regarding the north path: The path is visible from afar in dry rock. In snow ...well, no.... Regarding camping and tenting at Krn Lake I have my opinion. Negative, of course. But each to their own conscience. Otherwise the tour is doable in one day. so go boldly.

Yesterday from K. Bistrica to the saddle. Path to the shepherds and further to the ruins without special features. Towards the top, two snowfields to cross. Accompanied by gale-force bora. Winter gear remained unused.

Krn 8.3.2015. Finally some time "for myself" on Sunday Snow starts at cca. 1600 m. I went up the central gully, then a bit to the right over rocks towards the notch, to the summit. Returned via the marked path. Given it's only March and Krn is 2244 m high, no point wasting words on gear. Well-deserved beer in Kobarid.

On Sunday snow was up to Predmeja. From Lokve snow starts after end of asphalt towards Lazna. So the answer is no.

I don't understand this report anyway. What's the problem now? That you weren't swept away by an avalanche?! I'm more worried that people despite constant warnings of high avalanche danger after snowfall still rush into the mountains to "check" if the warning is justified. Anyway, each according to their own conscience.

I use a "unknown" brand headlamp myself, likewise a reserve "unknown" brand headlamp. So I have two, plus spare batteries. The headlamps have served me for several years. Let me say, the first "unknown" brand headlamp, I haven't replaced yet due to lighting failure with the second "unknown" brand headlamp. Not everything is in brands, everything is in experiences...

Short answer to two Slavists: zamêsti -mête also zamêsti -mêde allowed; zametênje also zamedênje; other see mêsti 2 (é; é) someone/something: Car is snowed in; In mountains they are snowed in; e.g., Snow snowed in the roads (sskj) Soon Krn will be snowed in too.

I can't comment on the brands themselves. Given the mentioned capacity (65l) it's a hiking, as already written in the description, trekking backpack. So suitability? Multi-day trips on easier access paths, travel backpack. Over the years you collect quite a few backpacks. From 25 up to 75 liters. Only from experience you pick the right one. lp
