Also photo report of my 2-day trip to Jalovec. Since I know my legs wouldn't hold a one-day trip to Jalovec, on Friday at work at 10 I decide, after a short refresh at home, to drive towards Vršič and arrive at the hut under Špička the same day. Overnight, next day climb to the summit and then return to the valley. To the hut I needed good 3h. That last part towards the hut I went a bit slower, as I waited for the sun to set so there wouldn't be such heat. The hut keepers are awesome! I'd adopt Nada as a mom!

At the hut I overnight with 6 Austrians. The evening is livened up by Nada and Austrians with their communication. Nada explains the ascent to the summit to them half Slovenian-half German, they rush with new questions half Slovenian-half German. They got along, I just laughed

In the morning we were up just after 5, as we didn't want to miss the sunrise. We almost forgot to take a pic, as we were so busy filling our heart and soul with memories. Soon the smell of breakfast wafted over, after breakfast we head to the summit. Just before entering the wall we hear a helicopter around Triglav. We just look at each other, everyone crosses themselves and we start climbing. The ascent path is quite varied. Lots of fine scree that slides. Good that rocks have good grip. So I went more on rocks. Markings not visible at some places. On the way back I strayed off the path. I clawed back with my butt to get back on the right path

On the ridge a little wind. Same on summit, but view fantastic. Since Jalovec is king of our mountains, I became its queen for a moment. And it didn't resist at all

At summit around 9 there were about 10 of us. Some from Vršič, some from Tamar. And many more climbed while we descended. Don't know how I would have gasped to the top in that heat. Good I went the day before and overnighted. The way back to Vršič dragged on, no end in sight. That last 'slope' before Vršič.. I thought it wouldn't end. Legs couldn't anymore! But it went!

For the end refreshment in Lake Jasna in Kranjska Gora. That's briefly, sorry for the writing!

Good luck!
