On 26.7.2012 did a two-day circular path, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful in our Alps. Start at pl. Blato (surprisingly parking lot at 07.00 almost empty). Continued past pl. by the lake, Dedno polje, Ovčarije, Štapc, to the hut at Triglav Lakes. Short stop with snack. Continued through the valley, past Ledvička to Green Lake. Short stop and ascent to Hribarice. People on the trail were not even enough to count on the fingers of both hands. From Hribarice descent to Dolič and overnight. Before that observing sunset (Jalovec looked phenomenal). Morning start at 06.30, through Velska dolina, to Veliko and Malo polje, past abandoned pasture under Mišelj vrh to Jezerski preval. Descent past planina Jezerca to Krstenica and along hunting path to planina Blato, arrived at 13.00.
This path is pure enjoyment. Very few people. True, from Veliko polje, over Jezerski preval to Blato, path very poorly marked, but still well followable.

Had only one remark and that is 4.40 EUR for 1.5l water at Dolič, which exceeds PZS price.

By GPS total 29.8 km, 14h30min walking, including all stops and 1,870 m ascent.

Awesome!

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with or knows the sports watch x-fact, wm II alto, which besides basic functions also has altimeter, compass and barometer.
Especially if the mentioned meters work reasonably accurately, since I'm interested in buying it.

Thanks for your experiences and response.

On 29.7.2013, due to forecast of stronger storms in the afternoon, I set off very early to Špik hude police. On the way to the top I was completely alone, but ibexes kept me company, following almost every step. Two even waited for me at the top. Marmots sadly only heard, not seen. I stayed at the top almost an hour, views incredible. What charmed me most was the solitude and silence. First hikers met on the return, only three small groups. Mountain visits really worthwhile on weekdays and very early, views nicest then. Helmet was not superfluous, ibexes above triggered some stones.
One of my best tours...

Nice tour and photos! Wondering how much time you needed for this?

Really amazing photographs. I'm interested if there's any "Photoshop" or an exceptional camera and of course photographer?

Pohodnica-53, your described trip and photos are excellent. I'm just curious how much time approximately you spent on the described path. Nice, thanks for the answer.

Maybe in the Martuljek group?

I think PZS or the society managing "mountain hut at Kredarica" should replace the hut keeper next season. The new keeper should take care of order and accordions and send drunks to the valley where they belong. No hard feelings! I myself already avoid Kredarica in a big arc now.

Mountain huts are not meant for partying, that should be clear to everyone, and as far as I hear, in the future police will occasionally take care of order, as there are more and more complaints about rowdiness.

Excellent work they did, can't wait for spring to visit the renovated hut.
I hope PZS rewards them properly, as they are an example to all how to handle such extraordinary situations.

Regards!

Hello!

End of month going to Triglav with 15-year-old son, (I was once 9 years ago via Prag to Kredarica). Last year did several easier hikes, last two-day loop from Planina Blato to Prehodavci, over Hribarice to Dolič and via Velska dolina to Jezerski preval to Krstenica to Blato.

To Triglav from Pokljuka to Planika where overnight. Same day also path Planika to Kredarica and back.
Curious what that path is like.

Know descriptions of all paths, only this one completely unknown.

Thanks for answer.

Today promised nice sunny and cold day, just right for short hike. Decided for Slavnik. Nice path to top, midway somewhat frozen, caution advised. Towards top white idyll, nice walking since snow not frozen. At top excellent view of our Julian Alps with highest Triglav!

On 29. and 30.8.2008 I did a two-day circular route, I think one of the most beautiful in our mountains and probably far around.
From planina Blato, to planina pri jezeru, past Dedno polje to Ovčarija, over prode to hut at seven lakes. From there past Ledvička towards Prehodavci. On this part saw lots of marmots and chamois, not to mention the view at Prehodavci hut. To Prehodavci hut is moderate walking with stops for just over 6 hours.
Next day headed over Hrobarice to Dolič hut and then down to Vodnik hut at Veliko polje. Then up to Jezerski preval and down to abandoned planina Jezerca and further to planina Krstenica, where bought some very good cheese from friendly shepherdess.
But have to warn about poorly marked trail from Veliko polje to Krstenica, which is otherwise well trodden and visible. Map obligatory. From Krstenica short descent on hunter's well visible trail to planina Blato. Walking with stops is 11 hours.

Happy hiking!
