is there any hard via ferrata nearby similar to Via della Vita or the Italian one on Mangart (looking for ideas for tomorrow)?

oh yes, we're there already... it would be nice if those who don't intend to answer the asked question refrain from commenting

tomorrow sunny in high mountains
So says ARSO. Surely some of you will take advantage smile, probably not the only one who would be grateful if you write which high mountain trails you plan (preferably early morning) to tread. Regards.

A few posts above alpin writes:
»To be frank, I'm also bothered when I see someone carrying a bike into the high mountains and I think he'll carry it half the way down too, along the way "ruining" already worn mountain paths and with his rampaging (where possible) scaring hikers, perhaps even physically injuring someone, I see no positive in that.«
With this he nicely explained how it goes: he saw a man carrying a bike up the hill. That's all that actually happened. All the rest he just imagined: that the man will carry the bike half the way down too (not clear why that could bother him), thought he'll ruin paths, scare hikers and physically injure someone. And that Alpin thought these things is now an argument against mountain cycling.
The entire campaign against cycling in the mountains is based on such a pattern.

That's right. This via ferrata is completely unnecessary, the old path is fully usable. So what if the gully is collapsing, at least 50% of paths in Slovenian high mountains have such spots, will you close them all now and string up cables straight to the top instead? I don't know what motives PZS has, but TNP's principles are certainly very interesting: heaven forbid someone rides a bike on a mulattiera, he's treated as an environmental criminal, but here it wasn't a problem to give consent to haul 300 kg of iron up the mountain with helicopters and "decorate" it with it forever. Of course, several helicopter inspections with all possible delegations were needed beforehand, burning tons of kerosene in the sensitive environment for that purpose. But most here don't care about all that, main thing is to have your own ferrata so you can proudly post your portraits on hribi.net, how you, adorned with SVKs, bravely climb from peg to peg above dizzying precipices. But for Razor, most really don't care much. Pfeh!

At the jump from the 5th picture, the passage is to the left behind the edge.

That's good, shame we didn't meet, lots would be clear quickly:
- you don't know bikes well, if someone gives me 1500 eur for it I'll sell right away
- I went up to Srebrnjak and crossed to Pelc, guess we missed in the forest too because I didn't hit the right path, went too low left, attaching tour pic
- With Lojze we get along great too, last year when I first biked up he gave precise tips for accesses to Pelc and Srebrnjak, he told me about the junction at 20th bend
- yeah, you can see the path is really well maintained, surroundings too and accordingly downhill ride was calm and harmless

Lijaneja, so you two "decorated" the bike parked at the 20th bend?

this with 1st level doesn't add up: around Dvoška Baba on grassy slopes slid everywhere

did anyone else go after you to the top? - mainly interested how firm the track will be tomorrow - don't wanna bother that much velik nasmeh

so much advertising was done here this year for this ridge traverse, that it was already time to go check it out. It seems unusual to me that it's always described only half the ridge traverse, to me it seemed right to traverse the whole ridge, so: High Ponca - Strug - Vevnica - Little Koritniški Mangart - Mangart - descent via Via Italiana back to Belopeška lake.
At ferrata on V. Ponca I was surprised it starts so high (in my opinion about 100 m below summit, I was already sure I missed the junction). Traverse to Strug is relatively o.k., from Strug to col below Vevnica though due to crumbly terrain on exposed parts really quite dangerous at certain spots. Further o.k. Technically most demanding spot on whole route is below summit of Little Koritniški Mangart. Overall very nice route. But due to mentioned dangerous passages I don't recommend it.

To make the most of the ideal weather, I decided yesterday for a slightly higher mountain. From Kals via Adlersruhe to the summit and back the same way. Currently more caution is needed due to hard black ice above Adlersruhe before entering the rocky part. But that could change soon.

Ljubitelj gora, congrats for 2h 50 min.
Does anyone know the record for this course or at least approx how much the better runners need?
