Hello!
Since I've only found partial descriptions for the ascent to Rabelj Spires so far, and even those say the path isn't well marked, I'm wondering if someone can tell me where to find a route description. You could also tell me the Italian name for this mountain, and we'll search on Italian sites.
Thanks for the reply.

užitkar

we were up there on Saturday and Sunday, the lady in the hut said they will be open normally until 12 October, after that date only on weekends.

Over weekend visited KSA, but Saturday little disappointed with weather, so climbed only Planjava then overnight in hut at Kamniško sedlo and recharged yesterday when sun shone all day. View from Brana on nearby peaks wonderful, more distant peaks peeked from foggy sea. Attaching some pics from Brana. Path then over Turska gora and Turski žleb back to Logarska dolina.
Despite bit worse Saturday excellent weekend.

I did read it, but then in the next comment it says ...below the summit there are still some large patches, so I asked again if that's under Špik summit or under Kačji graben summit.
Thanks anyway for the answer.

Hello

Has anyone else maybe been to Špik in the last few days? I'd like info on possible snow on the path past the hut in Krnica. Vukovivek reported some snow patches below the summit.

Thanks

Hello

on Saturday I'd like to climb Crna Prst from the J. Mencinger home, and I ask for some info on path conditions, if anyone went up there in the last days.

Thanks

On Sunday weather forecasters promised a nice day for hill strolling. So with kids we decided to conquer Špik hude police and see ibexes too, whose numerous hikers' visit doesn't bother, as they pose for photo lenses.
Path easy, walked without issues, stayed at top quite a while enjoying nice view and pleasant sun. Also from top watched planes and helicopters' flyovers extinguishing fire at edge of Planina Pecol.
On return to pasture, just before hut "Rifugio di Brazza" luck smiled and marmot not only heard but seen too.
To end promised nice day, bathed in Rabeljsko jezero.

On Saturday with friends from Kot and further over both Vrban summits and Dom Valentina Staniča up to hut at Kredarica, fog awaited us. But on Sunday a beautiful morning awaited us. Followed ascent to Triglav and then return to valley.
Though conditions before Saturday were not the best, we spent a nice weekend under the eye.
And a couple of pics from the nice morning.

Yesterday from Erjavčev Rovt to Kepa. Path nicely trodden, so even from the Koritec spring onwards, despite poorer marks, nicely followable. When we rise above the tree line, nice view opens towards Julian Alps. Somehow hidden in fog or clouds was only Jalovec and occasionally Mangart.

To the saddle where the path from Austria joins, we meet only one gentleman already returning and some chamois that avoid us in a wide arc. Otherwise upon arrival at the top, our "Good day" sounds somehow foreign.

Views from the top wonderful, sun warms just enough that we don't feel like going back down. But after a good hour of sitting, we finally head back to the start and from the saddle below Kepa onwards meet no one.

We really experienced a nice and especially peaceful day.

Yesterday my friend and I climbed to Jerebikovec. We went for the promised nice views, which we got.
The path was varied from dry in the lower part to snowy towards the top, in between icy in places, so descent to the valley required full concentration. Especially the path itself is quite steep.
On top sun and wonderful views all around awaited us so I'm adding some photos.

Yesterday we headed to Viševnik in beautiful weather. Path from Rudno polje nice and not too demanding. Little snow, summit bare. Views wonderful.

We also climbed to Košutica yesterday. From Ljubelj over the old border crossing further on the Austrian side. Path through the forest slippery due to mud, but further along the ridge nicely passable, no snow. At the well-visited summit, beautiful views of the Karavanke trio (Begunjščica, Stol and Vrtača with Triglav in the background), to the Košuta peaks with KSA in the background and to the Austrian side. Fog in the valleys. We descended back via the hunting path past Pl. Korošica. There are some fallen trees along the path, so some climbing over branches and trunks is needed.

Let me also add a pic from yesterday's beautiful day.

Hello

I too bought quite a few products from the mentioned store without discovering any major flaws until recently, when I bought a t-shirt that the saleswoman advised I could wear in the mountains and elsewhere. But it turned out wrong already after the first return from the hill. Along the entire back length, two pilled lines formed from the backpack straps. When I complained about the t-shirt, I got the same response from the textile expert.

Given that Matjaž and I complained about two different products and got the identical expert report, it seems a bit strange to me. Do they even have this expert or do they just send some standard letter regardless of the product.

After reading these comments, I'm also thinking if I'll ever buy in the mentioned store again.

Best regards.

Hello

I'm interested in conditions for ascent to Spik. I'd be grateful to anyone who summited the peak recently for info on access possibilities.

Hello
I'm wondering if anyone knows which store has the largest selection of Planika hiking boots. Wherever I went, either no right size or no model. Everywhere they say they don't know when new shipment comes. Thanks for the answer.
