I'm wondering if anyone has hiked this trail, approximate route, how are the rest points from Koča na Golici to Tromeja...I know there's a nice path on the Austrian side from Korensko sedlo to the tripoint, what about from Golica to Korensko sedlo? Thanks for the reply. Also, roughly how much time does it take on this trail?

Nice tour, after a long time, I take friends from Slovakia through the Turkish Gully and then across Podi. I haven't walked there for many years,,, about 30 years, once I slept in the old bivouac under Grintovec. Kokrško Saddle, Thursday, 23.8. 6.00 clear weather, 6.30, far there behind Triglav a little mist, I go lie down a bit more because we are not in a hurry, at 7.30 thunder, wind, started pouring like from a bucket. I think of those who went to the mountain, of course they return, thank God, all...soaked, chilled to the bone. The weather forecasters' prediction was, rain in the afternoon...hm??? At that time a balloon crashed in LJ, sad...condolences to the relatives. To everyone safe steps further...
P.S. Praise to the hut keeper Tomaž and his wife at Kokrško Saddle!!!!

dragon, thanks for the reply
By vacation I meant the tower takes a little break... otherwise it needs renovation. lp

Tomorrow I'm going up with my group. One is doing transferzalo and asks how it is with the stamp on Triglav, since Aljažev tower went on "vacation".

Stol, three days ago... we happily arrive from Zelenica, where I must praise the warden and the cook, full respect, bow to the kitchen!!! Of course that scree under Stol was not pleasant for my foreign guests but anyway, we made it through. We still reached the hut. Warden Betka "delights" us that the hut is full regarding sleeping. Reservation 40 English... great, nothing to do, but a room was found anyway. But lo and behold, no English anywhere. Now the question!!!! Who and how booked this. Who is such a jerk, can't say otherwise, books but doesn't cancel. Logistics at 2150 m is not just jump in the car and go get..., no, it's a responsible business. Inquiries around huts showed no English anywhere. Must admit, Betka, you hid anger, disappointment, sadness due to rip-off well. We had a nice evening and morning, visibility super, path to Medji dol beautiful... but that feeling that even in mountains you get screwed somewhat spoiled the tour for me, don't understand such people. Wardens, next time take data, and advance for 40 people no problem, surely wouldn't happen. Betka, thanks for service, kitchen super, feeling super! Thank God we have such hut keepers!

this year's wish to go via Hanzova most likely falls off... judging by the rainfall there should be snow inside.. on Saturday bad weather forecast, rain... if you go, good luck and safe steps and grip.

Crampons? It didn't freeze, wet snow... good morning and happy, and safe step, otherwise I'd advise wait till Saturday when nice weather!

zavesten- right decision, we were 24 hours earlier..and it was insanely hot. The next day the plan was from Kokrško sedlo to Grintovec then Češka Koča, Ledine, Savinsko sedlo, Okrešelj but we preventively retreated to Kamniška Bistrica....hills will always be there, we go. Nice regards and safe steps!

and also...in Kamniška Bistrica I saw a sign prohibiting driving further to Žagana peč but look, a car with ZG...(HR) plates of course drives on calmly..NO PROBLEM.

Mrki, agree, I know Grintavec, can be a bit nasty sometimes, like 23.8. morning. Nicest was once, 30 years ago February, up there well over -20 but beautiful view of whole Slovenia and part of Austria rewarded effort. Safe steps ahead!

44 plus 10.....in the mountains since young,,,I have pauses there...but still, I keep bitingnasmeh

I also think that walking dogs on Veliki vrh-Košuta and carrying cats up there doesn't belong!

Yes urbanček...that's how it is, when you're young you see things a bit differently and really, I too, when I was young, saw things differently than today. Still, I'd recommend you pick up some old book, or say the old Planinski vestnik issues, I have them bound from 1928...and you'll see how they viewed different routes back then. For my generation, the Hanz on Prisojnik was always an icon, know that I also did alpinism, saw a lot of it around the world but this route has a certain appeal...so I'll visit it too (no time before, then absence from the mountains). Safe steps and good holds. Good luck!

I agree, it was the same at Matizovec...then at Kofce you see this commotion, shouting, children's squealing, bawling, then big dogs grazing on Veliki Vrh...is this still peace in the mountains?, no...this is some fashion trend. It would be interesting to read some older book on etiquette of behavior in the mountains.
