Does anyone have experience with Zamberlan boots? I'm looking at the model http://www.iglusport.si/?mod=store&action=viewProduct&action_id=15317&language=sl I would use them all year round, no extremes. I would have universal crampons. Currently using Scarpa Ladakh and they are super, only after one year the leather wore out, cracked a bit and absorbs water quickly despite impregnation. Interested if anyone heard anything about such boots, as I don't know them personally. I only know they are Italian. lp

Has anyone gone up from Kališče recently? Is the track made?

I went up from Suhadolnik. Wasn't paying attention (saw the sign that it's closed only at the top of the path) and went up via Taško, only at two points a bit tricky. Protections and wires are bp. So it doesn't seem more difficult to me than the old path which is also ruined in many places from the storm onwards...

Great. Thanks for the info. I'm planning Streha a bit for Sunday.

Žrelo probably dry too? I'd go circular up Žrelo back over Škarjev rob...

The road is hardly passable, as they were still sledding on it not long ago.

Annoying thing, such a track. If I went up, I'd walk on the track without hesitation because I'd think that people who go to Triglav in winter know what they're doing... I know that each is responsible for themselves and their safety, but still misleading.

I just don't know if the south side will slide, the opast or nothing and the south side is settling more than the north....

I also have Kohla Alpen pro for more than 10 years. Really durable poles. I've bent them left and right too but when you straighten them they're like new...

Yesterday my buddy and I went up late afternoon. Ascent via Y, back via Šentanc. Also in the afternoon quite a few visitors. Just a warning that on top along the ridge (from top to Šentanc) a big crack (like a crevasse) has formed and you can fall in easily. On some parts no bottom is visible, so deep. If you fall in, it could be troublesome. Obviously the south side is collapsing fast, tons of snow. Buddy fell waist-deep, it was covered by snow...

I have Guide 35+ and it's ideal for day trips with gear. True it has expansion in the top part and is basically 35+8L, but still I think it'll be too small for three days, unless you pack really minimally. It's an excellent backpack though and I'm very satisfied. Futura is a completely different class of use (hiking) and not comparable to Guide model. Regarding size, safest is to take everything to the store and try...

If it wasn't so wet, this would be more tragic. At first chance I'll train stopping again, as I think you get some confidence that has no real basis. If really fallen I don't know how it would end...

I was in Y, judging by tslo1's picture. In dry it looks much more demanding than now.
