Hello!
I've temporarily swapped my touring skis for sports sleds and went to check how the Jesenice club sledders have arranged their sledding track. Well, it's exemplarily arranged, praise to the dedicated members of their club. The track length is about two kilometers, wide enough for pleasant sledding. Traversing it two to three times is enough for me. I'd say it's a real sledding adventure. In terms of length, it's the longest sledding track in Slovenia. Highly recommended for sledding enthusiasts.

Best regards! Swiss!

Hello!
Winter circular route. On Saturday morning I park above Livške Ravne, a bit further from Kavka COŠD. I harness the "dogs" and lay a track on the part of the path leading on Italian terrain; under thick snow cover it's probably a road, maybe to the former border crossing Solarji. But I don't go there, I turn left into the slope. At the top of the ridge I look around and descend without "dogs" through bushes down the slope. After a while I spot roadside stakes, I judge I'm on Osimska road. Ahead on the other side I spot Krn. Again I harness the "dogs" hihihihi and ski back to the car. Nice circular route especially on our side of the ridge. Real panoramic road. Probably unmatched in Slovenia. Not uploading pics anymore. Let everyone judge why.

Hello!
Well I hiked there and back in 5 hours. Also
helmet is mandatory, because there's quite a crowd, consequently rocks get dislodged.

Hello!
" bos "! I'm interested because I no longer have notes from long past days, approximate walking time to Visoki Kanin from the upper station at Podi?

Nice greeting and stay safe in the mountains!

Hi cenc!
Yes, true what you wrote. I can only add that clear winter days offer the best views from this mountain across almost all of Slovenia.

Hello!
With my grandson Tone we headed to Mali Golak in the early morning hours. From the parking lot at Strgarija pass along the access track to the hut. There we stopped and looked around it a bit. It's a spacious resting area with wooden locally made tables and benches. The hut is open only on weekends, Saturday and Sunday. Then leisurely along the path further. At the path junction we chose the steep variant. Into the really steep path we go slowly and carefully among rocks and roots. Marking among rocks is excellent. For variety we built some cairns along the way too, higher up there are even more, sadly winter knocked some down. Some are newly made and are real artworks. At the top we rested, took pictures and drank water. On the way back we looked in the undergrowth for "Golak lilies" I think they are Turkish ones. In the forest there are many open, some already wilted. Nice morning walk it was.

Good luck!

Hi Silvo!
To supplement you, on picture 13 the name of that valley is officially: Graben!
Best regards and good luck!

Hello!
"lilyd" A bit late but still. On picture 20 it's not towards Bohinj Mountains, but in the middle western Julian Alps namely Kanin range, far right the snow-covered plateau of mighty Krn is visible.

Hello!
That was a nice tour, a real autumn one. But when completely snow-covered up to under the steps, that's something unique and "only for the chosen ones" as the alpine trainee Šerbec once told me, when we trudged on New Year's morning to the summit and dug the snow-covered bivouac entrance.
Best regards and stay safe in the mountains!

Hello!
Sorry! But I have to chime in. It's not fair to walk on ski tourers' tracks, because crampons catch in holes and skis slip, leading to falls. How many times has this been written about. Often hikers are considerate and make their own trail next to the ski track, living in symbiosis, which I find commendable.
Regards Swiss and stay safe!

Hello!
I'm very interested (I'm fussy but I think this is a mountaineering forum and I can ask) and it doesn't make sense to me that the peaks above Soriška planina belong to the Eastern Julian Alps range; I'd rather say they belong to the Lower Bohinj Mountains. There's no forum for these mountains. I'd be glad if a professional explains this dilemma to me!

Hello!
On our forum there's also a GPS track describing exactly the route you're asking about, namely Gorenja Trebuša - Poldanovec (Poldanovška grapa)!

Best, Swiss and good luck!
