Bovški Gamsovec

I use PENTAK K5-II camera with 18-135mm lens, the moon was shot with 70-300mm lens.
Yesterday was really a day for photo pleasures. Now in the hills there's still no crowds, I met only seven people. Regards

Today from Vrata Valley over remains of large landslide to Luknja Saddle. Path to saddle is dry, middle part quite destroyed, few meters of path look like dried torrent.
Towards top along wall are steel cables easing approach.
On saddle strong wind, so we quickly continued to Bovški Gamsovec. We ran into several groups of chamois, walked part of path together nasmeh

Summit cold and windy. Luckily no fog enveloped it, unlike occasionally on Stenar, Razor and Triglav. Views to west beautiful nasmeh

Descent to Kriški Podi. By the way climbed Dovški Pihavec (Pihovec on some maps). Quite inconspicuous little-visited peak, though really one can enjoy observing ring of surrounding summits.
Back to valley via Sovatna. Upper path can't avoid snow, but no trouble.
Well, beer in Vrata ... of course nasmeh

After a few hours of sleep in Vrata early morning we head over Luknja to Bovški Gamsovec. Soon above Luknja we encounter large number of chamois - some resting, some fighting for dominance on these slopes. Described the tour on my blog with quite some photos.

Today also at night from Vrata via Luknja to Bovški Gamsovec. Down through Sovatna, since I haven't been at Pogačnik Hut yet I made a detour there. In the hut all young and nice girls. Don't know why it's Gamsovec when only goats up there nasmeh

At night it rained here so I was pretty wet to Luknja. Through Sovatna it drags and got hotter and hotter. Otherwise super. The debris field in Vrata not restored yet but working on it. Lots of trees still to remove.

This morning from Vrata over Luknja to Bovški Gamsovec and further over Kriške pode to Pogačnikov dom. Back over Sovatna. The day was quite sunny. Quite a lot of hikers, locals and foreigners, to make use of the last day of holidays and vacations for the mountains.

We too yesterday through Luknja to Gamsovec then back through Sovatna. Promise before the start was that I'd treat everyone to pizza if we didn't see any ibexes; of course no need because the models were there of course, some ten minutes from the path, quite a large herd, they posed for a while then trotted off slowly to higher elevations when they got tired of us. No crowds, most from Luknja went to Plemenice, protections exactly where they should be, only Sovatna could be shortened a bit velik nasmeh

I prefer the route in this direction, in short it was a wonderfully spent day, and I didn't miss the cherry at Aljaž either mežikanje

Triglav accompanied us for most of the path

Today from Vrata via Sovatna to Dolška vratca, some hikers in both directions, then after three and a half hours we stood on Bovški Gamsovec. Fantastic views, as befits these parts, especially Razor dominates over Kriški podi. Not even mentioning Triglav wall... It wasn't quite clear, temp. was quite low for this time, but we were on top for about an hour and quite a lot of people visited the summit. Return via Luknja and the loop in Vrata was completed, where we met acquaintances again... nasmeh

About Thursday's conditions everything has already been written. Those of us who were lucky to escape to 2000+, enjoyed under crystal clear sky, in warm sunshine, above endless sea of fog. We experienced this beauty on Bovški Gamsovec…. Yeah, yeah, these are the real, beautiful autumn days. May there be many more like them…! nasmeh
