@phobos, don't be so modest, your photos are beautiful too!!! And you caught a chamois and a marmot... It seems to me we met and said a few words when you two were already descending towards Luknja? Then we watched you from above and said... look, they spotted ibex... and you veered a bit off the path to photograph them... right?

GITA - yes, it holds; we really met a bit above the chamois. With my colleague we barely noticed them, because they were quite far from the path.

Today 17.10. I went from Vrata via Luknja to Bovški Gamsovec. Returned the same way. Conditions were autumnal up to 150 meters below the summit.
In the upper part snow starts, which froze overnight, so complete winter gear is necessary.
Views wonderful, windless, greetings to the mountaineers from Stenar...

As far as I know the path via Bovški Gamsovec to Kriške pode is dry.

Soon I would do the tour: Zadnjica - Luknja - B. Gamsovec - Dovška Gates - Kriški Plateaus - Zadnjica.
I'm interested if the path is really so exposed that use of via ferrata kit is necessary, or can it be done without?

Last year I hiked the tour in the opposite direction. I think you won't need the via ferrata kit, if you have it in the backpack, nothing's wrong. Path is well protected, caution first.
