We also headed to Debela peč and Brda, namely on Thursday, 13.3. Weather wonderful, pleasant walking, quite a few visitors up there that day.

Path to the summit trampled and skied. Snow today, a bit above expectations, very suitable for skiing, weather fantastic nasmeh

Today at Debela peč and Brdo. Weather and views wonderful. From Planina Zajavornik to koča on Lipanci no issues, further on crampons were useful for more stable steps, though possible without. Path trampled and skied. Plenty of hikers.
But in the middle of the day it sinks quite a bit, so caution is advised. Snow is southern, but it won't run out for a long time.
Koča on Lipanci open and good service.

Yes it was really hot for me, but only to the top. Then cloud and wind and had to dress again velik nasmeh

@matej13, I'll answer you because @bogi probably missed the question... We drove to the end yesterday, that is to the parking lot above Zajavornik pasture with winter tires (how it would go with summer ones we don't know zadrega

). A considerable part of the road is already completely bare, in places smoothed snow, only one or two short sections were "tricky" due to quite deep tire tracks, so quite a few were parked already at Kranjska dolina. But conditions probably change from day to day... Good luck! nasmeh

Matej13, you're asking about the road. What Gita wrote is correct. I have summer tires on the car too and didn't dare go beyond the hunter's home on Kranjska planina due to deep tire tracks. Some dared. But situation changes, so check on site first and decide.

Yesterday parked at pl. Zajavornik, road ok plowed, but narrow, could be problem meeting 2 cars!! Snow still huge, but hardpacked, nice also for hikers. At Blejska turn right to D. peč, then decide for Brda and turn left. All covered, no one around, today more easy, watch clouds and nature play. To top snow holds weight well, even at 12h no sinking. Ski direct down, snow fantastic for skiing, then hike right to neighboring peak from Lipanski, no mood for Vratca, so ski back to Nina and snow nicely settled. Another great day spent in hills.. nasmeh

there is still a lot of snow in the Bohinj Mountains

Road already ok and mostly bare, tire tracks still very little at some spots, but not problematic. Meeting 2 cars, well yeah, one of them will reverse a tiny bit.

Road dry to monument, snow doesn't sink in morning, but I did whole path on skis. Today morning rushed and had wonderful morning and ski to monument. At nine am despite thaw still hard enough. Took skis off only few meters through forest below to car, but soon no more and have to carry skis from Lipanska planina to start.

sled... at the top I'm alone and it's wonderful.. on the way back I meet three hikers and we chat

Dovška Baba is already without her bra :) and the snow is just a reminder of winter

We met Miha, you were just descending from the top when we hiked up and snacked a bit.... It was a nice day in these parts, also later no sinking too much. We went to Brda and descended across...
