On Thursday I traversed peaks above Pokljuka: Mrežce, Lipanski vrh, Brda and Debela peč. No peculiarities, just special "birds" on the ground and in the air.

The two of us also went to Debela peč yesterday. We started only at nine and weren't treated to such views as you two. But still a very nice tour with the first snow. I'm already looking forward to new snow for winter tours!!! As for the prices at Blejska koča, they are quite salty considering that supplies come by car! We've gotten used to this mountaineering "fleecing".

Blejska koča is open all year. The supplier can deliver food by car only in dry conditions. When snow falls he has to carry food up on foot. There are also storms damaging the path and even in dry conditions not always by car. On a nice winter day quite a few people gather up there, more than anytime in summer.
Mr. Jože is worth all respect. Always friendly and never turns up his nose if you stop in the hut just for tea and to warm up. In other huts they show you the door quickly.
Then every year they vote for the most popular hut. Winner is of course the inn where guests drive by car.

Eh, such coffee you get in every café or pastry shop. In the mountains everything is a bit more simplified. I don't need some nobility up there, I'm not used to such things. The main thing is that it's clean, tasty to drink, even from a plain cup. Otherwise, I remember he asks if you want sweetened coffee or bitter. I'm always satisfied, I can't criticize him, he's a fine guy.
It's no trouble for him to make an effort. @tinky, if you'd ask him for a bit more milk or sugar, he'd bring it right away, no worry.

About Mr. Jože and his wife only the best, no mistake!!! The hut is clean and renovated, those two friendly like few keepers in our huts. But he doesn't set prices!!! I think prices in huts have gone too high into the sky, although the sky is closer up there . No wonder there are fewer overnights and hikers bring their own food and drink. It seems stupid to me to let them rob me if I can carry some myself. But it all depends on how deep a pocket you have!

Only words of praise from my side for the keeper at Blejska koča. Last spring my wife and I drank tea at the hut. During the pleasant chat he even "treated" us with napolitankas. At payment I realize I only have a 50 euro bill in my wallet, the keeper also had no change. We resolved the unpleasant situation by agreeing to settle the debt next time we come. Our next hut visit happened only after a year. The keeper of course didn't remember us, nor the debt. Despite pleading, out of principle he absolutely refused to take the money for the debt. Nice gesture, really.
