Again a bit to Pokljuka and higher; Šport hotel, pl. Zajavornik, pl. Lipanca, Debela peč. On the way back also to Brda, then descent down the same path.
Weather sunny, wind negligible. Some snow up to the end of pl. Zajavornik, further on the path is bare with rare snow patches. Hikers as expected for such weather

Ostenja Rjavine, Luknje peči, Dimnikov, Macesnovca fascinated me already in spring while hiking in Krma valley, and it was necessary to see all those horns, towers, gullies also on Debela peč, where their grandeur is especially nicely on display.
Of course it would be nicer if the camera hadn't failed again, so most of these beauties had to stay in memory.
Otherwise yesterday at Debela peč quite a crowd, windless, lots of admiring the really great views in all directions, at the hut on Lipanca nice atmosphere at the expected end of the year.
Road a bit dry, a bit icy, so caution is not superfluous.
And this, to all hikers in this year I wish even more joy in admiring the mountain beauties that beautify the path through this life for all of us. Just look around

Cheers, we would go to Debela peč on Sunday, which path is the easiest for winter ascent, is it perhaps "Planina Zajavornik - Debela peč" ?

Road to parking for pl. Javorniki is icy. Path to Blejska koča and to summit well trodden.

Drago40, does that mean it's possible to get to planina Javornik by car with winter tires? Any problems, since it's icy?

Kokosh Anelle, we were on Saturday on Viševnik, left the car by the Šport hotel and went to Blejska koča, slept and in the morning went to Debela peč. Didn't need crampons and ice axe up to Okroglež, snow was hard and didn't sink through. Definitely take winter gear..

Today a nice and quick jump to Debela peč from Medvedova konta. The path is almost dry to the top, past Okroglež some snow patch. Crampons not needed.
Road to Medvedova konta just one section cca 50m snowy with deep tire tracks, some caution needed.

I was up there on Sunday and no snow on path at all, here and there by path some patch, just enough to make a snowball. Confirm Blejska koča permanently open.
