Thanks, useful info. Wondering how far you can drive now in winter? Where do you start on foot? I know Poelti, Medvedova konta, and at Rupah, but we haven't hiked there in winter yet. Thanks

The hut keeper said to park at Šport hotel; to the monument as we are used to in summer is not possible (with a normal car).

Just from Debela peč. Snow really still a lot, but not nearly as much as written above. At bench below Bled hut already crocuses blooming. Classic summer parkings still not accessible.

Larches enchanted me, clear sky with some sun and views of endless cloud oceans covering the valleys. With the princess we had good luck choosing where, as Debela peč welcomed us in a friendly way, the path up and down and the summit views satisfied all wishes and more. We ended the great day with cream cakes, already at home, lounging on the couch.

What is the path to Debela peč like now after the new snow? Is it possible for hikers or only with skis or snowshoes? What about at least to the hut? Avalanche danger to Debela peč is minimal, if I remember correctly? I haven't been up there for a really long time. Best thanks for the answer.

To Lipance without aids, maybe good to have small crampons for descent, as very icy in places. From Lipance to Debela peč without snowshoes or skis won't work. Trodden to Okroglež.

I went from the other side, from the Šport Hotel across planina Zajavornik. All forest roads are plowed and normally drivable, only when meeting it can be a bit tricky at certain spots but with good will it's not an unsolvable problem.

Yesterday we climbed from the Lipanci pasture to Brda. My opinion - snowshoes very welcome, as we sank up to our asses path is trodden, didn't notice the track splitting to Debela peč. Didn't meet anyone. At the top gusts of wind, sun and blue sky. Photos are top-notch
