Yesterday in beautiful weather to Debela peč via planina Zajavornik and past Blejska koča to Lipanci. In the morning still all frozen, when I was returning the lower part was already flowing, not to mention the road through the forest. The path to Debela peč without special features, trodden and hardened, no crampons needed up or down. Completely alone the whole way to the summit, not even a bearvelik nasmehvelik nasmehvelik nasmeh, only when returning to the valley I met the first hikers, just a handful, obviously all in Planica yesterdayvelik nasmeh

No problem, I had summer tires up there too. Morning frozen, just drive slower at some spots not to slip on ice, when it warms up such thaw everything flows. Car straight to the washvelik nasmeh

Today to Debela peč in proper April weather. When starting from planina Zajavornik the sun was still on Debela peč but quickly hid behind clouds. At the place where paths join from planina Zajavornik and from Medvedova konta, snow shower lasting till Blejska koča. Luckily I decided to go to the hut for tea and potica then back to the valley, no sense pushing on in that. While I was enjoying sweets in the hut outside clearing up, so instead of to the valley happily to Debela peč. From Blejska koča onwards still quite a lot of snow but path trodden no problem and no crampons needed. On the summit beautiful sunny weather no wind no hikers, I was the only one up there.

Today after 3 years again on Debela peč. This time in summer, the previous one was winter.
From Pl. Zajavornik, Pl. Lipanca and to the top. Back the same way. Quite a few hikers, partly cloudy weather - on Pokljuka it was 21°C at 14h (my thermometer). A bit of wind too. Really nice. Trail super, my fitness a bit lesseeknasmeh

Okroglež, Debela peč, Brda - is a nice circular trail. I went a bit my own way. Livestock is grazing everywhere, most on the saddle, behind Brda. Mists were chasing around the peaks on Wednesday and there are few flowers. But autumn air is already felt.nasmeh

In these days larches are changing their green needle color to yellow, but some larches have already dropped needles. Anyway, these are the right days to visit mountains and we did it. On the road full of potholes, we drove to the starting point of the tour at the monument to the fallen in NOB and climbed to Lipanca and continued the path to Okroglež, Debela peč, Brda, Vrh in the ridge, Lipanski vrh and Mrežce and returned to Lipanca and the starting point. We also climbed to Debela peč on 8.10.2019, namely on the hunter's path from Kovinarska koča in Krma. Almost until the ascent, arrival at the marked path Blejska koča - Debela peč we wandered in fog. During the ascent chamois surprised us and sent us quite some stones. Followed a sunny, somewhat windy ascent to Okroglež, Debela peč, Brda and descent on the marked path from Lipanska vrata to Krma. We met some hikers only on the ridge path towards Debela peč. Nice one-day hike. Photos at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

Hi, first let me say I'm not the most experienced hiker. I've been to Triglav and that's it, but mountains have started to fascinate me and I'd like to go to Debela peč with a buddy this year (next weekend). Interested where to start? Which parking lots are actually accessible this time of year? Which trail is most suitable for an amateur without guide?
