Debela peč

Today we went on a slightly less frequented path to Debela peč. The start is Strmec, as it says on this portal, below planina Klek. Quickly to the pasture and across. For the ascent we found the "old path", which they are probably abandoning, since the markers are really faded; honestly, though, except for a very steep pathless scree of about 150 height meters there is nothing interesting. We returned on the usual marked path to planina Klek, which is much more friendly and shows Debela peč from behind several times, not only from the front as we see it from the Lipance path. We didn't meet anyone, on the summit there were also few people. But lots of flowers which jostle one next to another. The road to Strmec is OK, but one needs to watch the turnoffs, there are plenty and not all well marked.

First junction to Debela peč, we continue a little further.4
Poor marking on the stone, turn right uphill from the marked path to Lipanco.5
View downwards, the picture does not show the true steepness. Markings poor and faded.6

Is the path from Rudno polje to Debela peč already snow-free? Any peculiarities?

The path from Blejska koča towards Debela peč is snow-free, only before the summit there are snow couloirs, but they can be avoided; these are data from Sunday.

Snow whitened the slopes again and I searched paths around these beautiful peaks....nasmeh

Sending some today's pics from phone for a taste.

Left skis at home, smart decision... too much crust still and sun softens snow completely during the day.

First to Debela peč then Mrežce and, since I had some time left, also to sunset on Viševnik, tracks are there, partly already wind-covered, to Viševnik hard.

Today I started from Sport Hotel, aiming for Debela peč, but turned back at Okrogležmrk pogled. The path continuation seemed too risky to me, as to the hiker I met, no visible tracks from Okrolež onwards and wind quite strong with stronger gusts.
On the way to Lipanca many fallen trees, but "detours" made nasmeh. Path otherwise well trodden.
From Blejska koča to Okroglež also trodden, but occasional bushwhacking.
Weather OK, except mentioned wind. Recommend at least microspikes, especially across Planina Zajavornik.

If anyone reached top of Debela peč today, congrats nasmeh!

Today we were on Debela peč. We had everything: Sun, wind, snow on the ground, snow from the air, snow from the side velik nasmeh We started from the parking lot at Planina Zajavronik (Road at Mrzli studenec towards Rupam and towards Medvedova kota is plowed, winter tires are completely suitable for safe driving on the road). At the fallen trees (you'll know where it is) I recommend sticking to the left path, although (at least today it was so) it looks less trodden. Continuing on the right, more trodden path leads to crawling on the ground, mud and over fallen trees, left path bypasses all the fallen stuff. When we joined the path from Medvedova kota, we saw that path is practically untrodden - if anyone is tempted to break trail. The path further from Blejska koča is much less trampled, although supposedly some were up the day before us, wind did its thing, so tracks were practically covered. At the top a small snowstorm caught us, and it started blowing too. But the return was so much more pleasant, as we knew we would stop at the hut, where there was a lot of visitors today. Ričet was super. velik nasmeh Super hike, super day! nasmeh

Some a bit ahead of us are making a fresh track towards DP. So we don't have to break two, let's follow them ;)6
Around Rjavina there was quite a strong snowstorm. It hid quite a few peaks7
Downhill went much easier ;)8
