.. No problem Otiv. We like hills and we like flowers too. Especially narcissi are interesting when they whiten the meadows so nicely

Narcissi reach my heart too and one would just move there, for the time of narcissi blooming on Golica.

I'm interested where now are the best views of meadows with narcissi. Plavški Rovt? Španov vrh? As I understood, on Golica itself narcissi will bloom only in June... Thanks in advance for any hint!

For me the nicest part is between Suha saddle and Krvavko. Considering that yesterday in that area there were only a few flowers, in my opinion it will be nicest in 10-15 days.

Last year I visited Golica on May 5th and they were in full bloom only in Rovt, higher up only buds, considering that this year snow lay long and we're already past mid-May and still quite cold, they will probably be in full bloom only at the beginning of June.

...Antares, if you look at my last picture towards Plavški Rovti, the whiteness there under forest edges are narcissi. And behind Pristava in Jav. Rovt there are still some. About Španov vrh I don't know. Janez there under Mala Golica and Krvavko there are always most/slika5/. This year everything will bloom at once, on Belska Planina and Golica

Thanks everyone for the answers and valuable advice. Last Sunday I was on a short walk around Planina pod Golico and daffodils bloomed only in smaller areas on meadows between houses - but not as luxuriously as I see in pictures. But under Mala Golica and Krvavka are they blooming already or later? And last question: what about weather forecast for today and tomorrow? Sorry for asking so much, but for me trip to Golica means almost 400 km car drive, so trying to ensure right moment to go up. Thanks again and nice weekend!

Today on Golica. The weather was foggy in the morning and a strong wind was blowing, it was quite cold, later the fog cleared. Under Mala Golica daffodils are mostly still in buds. Nice regards

I discovered the most beautiful and intoxicatingly scented ones in Javorniški rovtu and Plavžek rovtu. Around Španov vrh mainly still in buds, same as said above on slopes of Mala Golice. On neighboring Ptičji vrh snowdrops still bloomed yesterday.

We also joined the tradition of the hike to Golica on Saturday during the bloom of white daffodils. The closer we got to the Pristava house, the more skeptically we eyed the threatening dark clouds; towards Suha saddle they looked lower, same when we started the steep slope under Mala Golica and on Krvavka ridge, which filled us with a bad feeling of possible cold shower at the top. Even the diligent early hikers returning from the top said it was cloudy up there, especially very windy and cold; hoods, gloves and backpack strap were very handy (thanks for the advice to bring them). Pleasant company of hiking enthusiasts (nice greetings to all ) in conversation revealed that we actually know each other a bit - from afar, from the forum, and with pleasant chat we were at the top in no time, there the sun finally shone opening beautiful views to Kepa, Dovška baba, Struška, Drava valley and green(brown) lakes on Austrian side; only cold wind blew mercilessly around red cheeks and ears (small snow patches still covered depressions), so we briskly descended to shelter at the hut, where it was pleasantly warm. Huge crowds of visitors (like Triglav in August), Golica song from skilled fingers of accordionist not missing. Luxurious daffodil locations for now still in lower parts, nevertheless enough to see this breathtaking beauty when brain quiets and full senses absorb intoxicating sweetness of intoxicatingly scented white flowers. And the path? It is really beautiful, the ridge one, without fear of serious slips as I read somewhere and thanks to all who encouragingly described it on the forum. Best

(Too) long have my partner and I waited this year to go see the daffodils. They say who waits, gets it, but I don't know if the proverb holds in this case. Now we're already scared because of the weather that everything will freeze.
