BrankaM! If you want to see daffodils on the path as Majdag suggests, stick to otiv's suggestion (24.5.)

Today our hiking group ascended to Golica. We went from Križevec, via Pusti rovt, Suha saddle, across Mala Golica and Krvavka to the summit. Daffodils are not blooming yet, but almost certainly they will - with this weather - in 14 days. We returned via Markljev rovt. The day was nice, sunny, only on the ridge strongly windy.

I used a nice and sunlit day for an excursion to Golica. On Planina pod Golico there are beautiful fields of daffodils.
I walked to the hut in short sleeves, from the hut to Golica it was blowing hard, so we had headgear on.
Visits to Golica have already increased considerably.

Does anyone have fresh information if the daffodils on the Golica and Krvavka ridge have already sprouted. Lower ones have been for some time.

Today we were on Golica. We went along the ridge. The day ideal for a daffodil visit - everything is white. Really a fairy tale. The path pleasant, no wind. We recommend a visit as soon as possible.nasmehmežikanje

Yesterday's slightly later start due to circumstances resulted in such a crowd as I haven't seen on Golica yet eek. From Križevci towards the monument I counted over 130 cars, people well over a thousand. Some would have driven to the top of Krvavka if possible velik nasmeh. But it was nice anyway jezik

In the afternoon I went Mali and Veliki Zdrtnik - Ptičji vrh - Golica. Narcissi are under the summit of Mala Golica, so a bit above Suha saddle. One can drive there by car too. I started lower at križovcu.

White princesses - very apt expression! Really incredibly white colors this year, at least that's how it looks from the pictures, real freshness emanates from them.

On Monday, 18.5.2015, like a crowd of other hikers, I fell for the pleasant weather forecast and set off for Golica. Most of the route was in fog and strong wind that kept the thickest clouds right around the Golica summit. The day before I spent in scorching sun and purple plains of blooming sage between Sesljan and Nabrežina (description: http://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?slo=1&gorovjeid=26&id=5882 ). So the wintry atmosphere on Golica was even more dreary. What saddened me most were hikers who trampled white narcissus meadows for a few poor photos. Probably none would walk on their home flowerbed.

No narcissus fell for my shots. Even from the path edge you can catch the real vibe of white slopes if there is some luck with the light. I had little, so predecessors nicely captured it in their forum posts here.
The sun shining on my return to Planina pod Golico so disheartened me that I just wanted the first train home. Thanks to the nice girls who took me to the station where I caught the train in the last second.

Bus from Jesenice to Planina pod Golico on school days at 7.29 (opp ŽP), return at 14.40.
On Golica only once in distant childhood. Atmosphere similarly oppressive then. To improve impression return at first chance. But not for narcissus, other Golica beauties: juicy green turf with grazing sheep, beautiful alpine flowers and vast views (if more luck).

Yesterday (28.5.2015) Golica welcomed me just as I had only wished ten days ago (post on previous page). Same path, but completely different picture. Gorgeous.
