Today the Golica summit in fog and wind. Otherwise snow from the hut onwards, and even that only somewhat more in places...

On Saturday, 6. 4., it was very foggy on Golica. Snow and fog were not visually separated. The previous day a few cm of snow fell, but only from the hut onwards. No ice axe needed.

Yesterday to still quite whitened Golica, up winter path, back path past Korlnov rov, both first time nasmeh

Atmosphere from hut to summit quite wintery, cold and windy. From saddle onwards best to go directly along the ridge, where it is nicely blown clean. No views yesterday, need to return for them nasmeh

On the way back we also detoured to Plavški Rovt, to admire narcissi nasmeh

and thus compensated for the missing summit views.

Today to the nearest mountain for me - Golica. Circular path from Savske jame via Marklova, Krvavka to Golica, descent past the hut (caretaker Katarina friendly as always) along the summer path. Path a bit muddy, but BP. Cowslips are a bit above Suha saddle, on top of Mala Golica they are still very small - I think they need another 14 days or so.

This is how it looked in Savske jame at the end of the 19th century

At the hut on Golica, Lisa is waiting. She is very shy and so we can't see the number printed on the collar.

Daffodils are blooming, also around the hut on Belska planina it's colorfully colored. More tomorrow on the blog. nasmeh

- Leaves slightly scorched by frost, flowers nice, they smell good

- Also on Belska planina there is some frost-scorched flowers

Mala Golica, Ptičji vrh, planina Svečica, Veliki vrh... was my ramble yesterday. Daffodils are blooming all below Krvavka, but there are fewer than in previous years. At the shepherd hut Svečica or Belska planina it's very nice. Colorful shades of flowers and views, nature is really wonderful. Snow on Struška is still plenty in patches. The scree is still all scattered and one needs to look for passages for easier ascent. nasmeh

There are almost no daffodils above the hut, likewise not towards the Golica summit. But they are full towards the east, towards Suha saddle, below Mala Golica.

Today we visited Golica for the first time during narcissus blooming season. We started at Križovec via Suha saddle and hut to the summit. The morning was still pleasant, then crowds poured towards the top. We didn't stop at the hut due to the crowd.
