Finally managed to visit Golica during narcissi blooming time. From Planina pod Golico over Markeljnov Rovt to Suha saddle, then along the ridge to Golica. Down past the hut and Korlnov cave. On the ridge wonderful views and very few people. From saddle between Krvavka and Golica onwards a completely different song. A huge amount of people.

From Križovec, where one could hardly find a parking spot to Mala Golica, which is overgrown with narcissi to the top and Krvavka, where flowers practically end, on rocky ridge on the Austrian side also primrose booming.

I was today "forced" to go up - it contradicts both NIJZ recommendations and common sense - Šmarna gora on Sunday at 12h is nothing compared to this ant hill - so honestly advise against it.

Today we guys went for the SPP stamp for our youngest. How nice it is to walk on Golica when there is no crowdnasmeh. It was a nice day, light wind and beautiful views.

Started at 9am from Planina pod Golico, now chilling at the top in calm wind or precisely light breeze.
Views top all around. Clouds gathering already on far SW over Cerkno plateau.

Path dry, well marked. On summit individual snow patches that can be avoided, but from hut upwards the path is quite muddy and slippery in places.

Up I went by the classic left path, back however preferably by the otherwise steeper gully right. It was dry, non-slippery12

From Planina pod Golico past Korelnov rov up winter path. To hut little snow here and there, but mostly dry and bare. From hut more snow, also muddy as snow melts fast, summit still nicely snowynasmeh no one met on winter path, all quiet though Golica well visited today

Today, May 1st, few hikers. Along the path from planina pod Golico past Korlnov rov on the easier path to the hut and then to the summit: strong wind in the morning, cloudy, no rain, later cleared. Path to summit almost dry. Below summit white crocuses peeked out.

From Pristava past Križovec and Pusti rovt to Suha saddle and ridge path to summit. To Pusti rovt dry, a bit further some snow on road, ridge path dry but wet and muddy, under Krvavka some snow patches on path. On summit snow less and less, it melts fastnasmeh totally different on Austrian sidenasmeh descended past hut and on easier path to Planina pod Golico, under hut still some snow in spots. Regards

Narcissuses are now in full bloom at Pristava and rovts, on Mala Golica not yet. Good week or two, as predecessor said, depends on weather.

Also in Plavški Rovt it's nicely whitened, photo Sunday.. Golica was still snowy yesterday, and it looks like it will be again in the next days too..

Over Savske jame to Markeljnova planina past Fenc back... Road through Savske jame is nice, striking caves only at the start. A bit past Korlnov rov on the right at signs collapsed shack and about 100m along the track on the left meadow full of narcissus. For those whose health doesn't allow higher. On Markeljn Rovt still winter. Further road right nice stroll to Vodno zajetje and on to climbing area below Golica. Nice loop for big and small and also furry buns.nasmehNice to watch blooming princesses and enjoy silence only nature offers. Good luck!nasmeh

veja5 and felix.. During the week you can drive to Križovec. The closure was planned only for this weekend. Of course, if they don't extend it due to late blooming of daffodils and better weather. I'll write if I find out anything..nasmeh
