Yesterday first time on touring skis, and that a bit around Golte. Snow is for now rather little, more as a sample. Whoever doesn't mind their skis and skins, and has a strong winter desire, can satisfy first touring ski needs. Otherwise not recommended. Saturday new batch of snow and probably better chance of sliding downhill without scraping under skis. Best, David.

Mozirje hut-Isteje-Stari stani-Tri Ploti-Mozirje hut.
Otherwise we had a plan to cut a ski track from Mozirje past Isteje to Kal and to Smrekovec. But strong wind blew the plateaus around Isteje almost bare, descent from Isteje would be bad so we turned back instead and did a nice walk around Golte. Windy but always nice.

I don't know which pics are nicer, those before or after snowfall. 9 and 13 are just great. Congrats.
Oh, almost forgot to ask, which path on Golte is that? Looks exposed in places! Do you have your own variant - pathless??

Wonderful, Janez, but such a "weekend" as you have on picture 26, many would wish for it. I wish you many more enjoyments on the bench and on rambles on your beloved Golte. Good luck.

Janez, very nice pictures before and after snowing. Unfortunately, if I look at the webcam, today all spruces are washed and nothing wintery. I hope it snows at least a little on them by Wednesday and Friday when I plan to go skiing. For all over 70, daily skiing with lunch is only 4 euros, view on KSA is gorgeous.

Jany, these are really my paths on Golte, which as I observe have become popular with many. And there's also a well-stocked free buffet on one of them.
tisa, this "weekend" of mine is becoming an increasingly popular viewpoint, although it's not so easy to find. You'll have to visit it too and
drago40, I envy you that you're such a young fellow and athlete. I wish you pleasant skiing, nice weather and nice views.

Circular path on Golte also in winter very interesting and beautiful. Enough snow on top for hiking and ski touring.

Janez, wonderful pictures, as Golte themselves are beautiful. I always enjoy each one especially, especially if you have company of both four-legged ones, who obviously also enjoyed.

I'm wondering how to get to this bivy, say from Mozirska koča?
At the intersection of Boskovec - Isteje path above Mozirska koča we turn right towards Boskovec, after walking through forest we reach a clearing (paraglider takeoff site), where the path to Boskovec turns left. Do we turn right here towards Požganija (cliff walls), or need to go further towards Boskovec, or turn right from the path already before this clearing?
