Does anyone know how much it costs if you drive to Konec and get caught? Does half apply too?

Half always applies... but yeah, for the Germans it seems the problem was parking too close to the "intersection". Understand who can...

On Saturday 3.4.2021 we all got Police greetings of 80€, car parked in Konec.
Parked there already 10x but never got a greeting mrk pogled. Otherwise path to Cojzova hut in very bad condition as described, avalanches carried everything away..... good luck Uroš

@primoza You can turn the sign as you wish (yesterday morning it was turned, later not), 80 eur fine is for wrong parking. If we leave aside debate who all this bothers so terribly and if police really has nothing smarter to do, fact is fine is half lower than it could be. Driving past No Traffic sign is actually 160 eur. For general community benefit and trip without bad mood at end better if entry past KB is charged and each decides themselves. True that then more than just barrier needed, that's another debate subject.
Anyway grotesque what PP Kamnik collectors deal with, shame they don't have video cameras in spirit of PU Kranj...

So we're clear - I think ban on driving to Konec is nonsense. But still interesting we have on forum someone who in other topics claims it's duty of all to follow even most idiotic decree like drunk to fence and calls those who disagree murderers, here says traffic signs can be ignored as needed. A bit inconsistent, I'd say.

This is Slovenia, you wouldn't see this in other countries.

In how many countries have you driven on forest paths that everything is so clear to you?

Trobec6. 04. 2021 14:04:21
Well, it's not marked as a forest road. At the beginning there are 2 signs, one prohibiting driving (sometimes there, sometimes not), and an arrow directing cars that way - not an "official" traffic sign.

Those who would now generally prohibit driving and maybe they call the police, they do clearcuts (e.g. those on Jermanci). Now, what causes more damage, 30 cars on Jermanci every weekend or a couple of ha of clearcut on a steep slope... let's leave it to experts...

So much talking and writing for nothing and exactly from those who regularly visit this area and know things well, but still not enough. As you've probably noticed, the sign is sometimes there, sometimes not. The sign is put up as needed when forest works, wood extraction, road repair, cable car maintenance.....etc. are taking place; then there is a ban, as a big truck or machine has a hard time getting around parked cars, or can't pass at all! It is normal to put up a sign meaning no driving and parking, inform services who check and give gifts accordingly. Of course, they remove the sign when done, but sometimes forget it's still there, though they don't forget to check. So if the sign is up, on foot from home to Kamniška Bistrica.

Indeed, the bigger problem than the sign is that lower down there is decidedly too little space for all the sheet metal. How to solve that is another thing... the devil is that one has to invest first, parking fines a direct and almost free inflow nasmeh

That means the policeman or his greeting got there on foot, hope he was at least that smart. Otherwise next time he should write a greeting to himself too nasmeh

"On the initiative of Kamnik Bourgeois Corporation, Kamnik Municipality, 'to improve traffic safety in Kamnik municipality', has some time ago changed the traffic regime on the public path from the mountain hut in Kamniška Bistrica or from Jerinček to Žagana Peč and Jermanci, for which many have already been fined."
But what is interesting; Kamnik Municipality is also a member of Kamnik Bourgeois Corporation!!

Today to Grintovec from Kokravelik nasmeh, road to Suhadolnik closed due to logging, so the already long tour was extended even further. Went on the "old path" to the saddle and then on the classic "roof" path to the summit. To Jam without winter gear, from Jam with crampons.
