Yesterday's day in the mountains was for gods and I felt that way too. smile I took advantage of the nice weather, just like Boštjan more than fourteen months ago, only I saw no bus. wink
Quarter to seven, I start with a headlamp from in front of the cable car station, but soon put it away. Pleasant temperature gave me a boost; at the saddle I end up with four girls too, but they had other goals. I drop off wet clothes; after about an hour and a half I already enjoy the bench in front of the bivouac, which hikers who came from Suhadolnik had just left. I air it out a bit, sign the logbook and continue the ascent to the first goal. Above the scree I enjoy scrambling; at the top the lidless box annoys me.
It is time to modernize the connection between the huts made thirty years ago, as the marks have faded and many pitons have been pulled out. Since I had plenty of time (return option), I "overlooked" the sign about the temporary closure of the path to Grintovec and found where the catch is. The closure is due to a small rockfall by the path, just before it turns into shade on the north side. Extreme caution is needed and do not touch the wall (rjavica), because more will fly down there. The delicate part is only about two meters long. There is no snow on the north side at all, but it was incredibly cold there, and luckily only just over ten minutes to the top. I descend last, meet only two paragliders who are worried because of the lack of wind.
I thought the scree under Kokrška Kočna was the most demanding part of the tour, but the path through the forest to the car was even more difficult due to the abundance of leaves.

Hello everyone

True. The spot where the rockfall is is about 2-3m long, but the wall is yellow and there is nothing to grab onto, the ground is full of scree on a nice smooth slab, and moreover it is precisely the most exposed spot there.
One youngster went across, the other gentleman preferred to turn back.
If you come from the Kočna direction and don't dare to cross, a 1h return awaits. From the Grintovec direction the rockfall is right after the edge.

The trail from Mlinarskega to Grintovec is completely OK, the worst is the upper part below the summit where everything is shattered by lightning. Overall, both over Mlinarsko sedlo and around Kočna (Kremžarjeva) show signs of the recent storms. Especially with quite a lot of new stones loaded on the path and above them.

Yesterday I went to Grintovec from Ravenska Kočna via Umik Žrela and Frischauf path. Up to Češka koča everything was without peculiarities. In the gully before the hut water wasn't flowing, but I could fill the bottle for free in the hut.

Later, towards the top of the scree, the path splits into two less trodden paths, none with markers (probably they don't hold long on that scree). I chose the left one. It led me to the start of the difficult section from the left, so I missed the easier entry on the right (found out on descent) and started the ascent at the wall bottom directly under the big marker. The difficult part to Mlinarsko sedlo is very exposed, sparsely protected, somewhat eroded and crumbly in places, requires lots of attention. It has about 400 m elevation gain and plenty of traversing, so it is quite time-consuming. Except for one steel cable so rusted that I questioned its capacity, protections are in good condition.

At the start of the difficult section a very slight streamlet was flowing. Water was more dripping than running, but I still think the bottle could be filled in normal times. There were plenty of wet rocks on this part, extra caution needed. Two days prior it had been quite rainy - I think this streamlet is dry most times.

Despite the warning on mapzs.pzs.si the path above Mlinarsko sedlo is well protected. Noticed only one loose peg, but it is in good rock and not used in a way that it could be pulled out, so no issue. This part descends tens of meters on ascent, plus flat sections, fairly time-consuming. It seemed much less demanding than the section below the saddle.

Summit was in cloud parting briefly occasionally. Quite a few people (at least at the start), on the summit one guy camping with tent maximally obstructive (midday).

Descended to Češka koča via ascent path, then "past cable car" path. From junction with path to Štularjeva planina onwards, where it steeply descends on the cut, it was muddy and path rocks extremely slippery. I advise against this descent unless ground completely dry.

After returning home realized no memory card in camera, so only a few phone pics.
