No matter which peak you looked at from Grintovec, there were tons of hikers, too many for my taste!

Everywhere around there were swarms of people, only Rinke were more deserted....on Kranjska we had the most...6, on Styrian and Carinthian even less . Don't even talk about the path over Žmavčarje and Gamsov skret. Solitary.

I'm wondering until when in September the Cojzova hut will be open on weekends?

@antik Usually it's open continuously until October 15.

When I observe hikers on the trail, sometimes I wonder if it's a new trend... That's how it was yesterday at Kokrsko sedlo, quite a few hikers from the hut towards the summit, but some couldn't make it, probably expecting just a walk, nicely in sneakers, a bit of drink on the belt and off like on a fashion runway... And I wonder what we're doing here with our backpacks that have everything from first aid on... Safe steps.

On Friday though for quite a while there was no one in front of the hut... - empty and peaceful...

@jprim It would be better to go from Ravenska Kočna, where you meet real mountaineers with full gear.

Yeah, I know you don't experience that on more demanding paths, but sometimes individuals appear too... But my knee required an easier variant of the path to the summit.

@jprim Haven't you seen a person with the inscription "čez komot ga ni" on the back yet?

On Saturday we're heading to Grintovec from the lower station of the cable car to Kokrško sedlo. Since there were some comments about the closed road or that driving is allowed only to residents, I'm interested how far I can go by car and by how much time my path is extended? Lp

Last Friday I drove a bit further than Žagana peč (812m), then to the cable car ca. 15min by road. It was possible also by car to the cable car, there were three cars parked. True though, that was during the week, now I don't know if there's perhaps some other "regime" on weekends, when there are significantly more visitors.

@grand At the hut in Kamniška Bistrica there's a traffic sign that prohibits driving to everyone except residents. Now it's your decision how and what. Your tour probably extends by 1 hour.

Thanks to both for the answer. Tomorrow I'll decide, depending on when I arrive at the hut in Kamniška Bistrica, whether to continue driving or not.

hello I'm interested in what the distance (km) is from the hut in Kamniška Bistrica to the lower station of the cable car for Kokrško sedlo given that you can't go by car there anymore, so I know by how much the tour extends timewise thanks and lp
