Velkavrh, thanks for the advice on the path, it sounds interesting.. At the first opportunity and when conditions improve a bit, I plan to 'conquer' it nasmeh 031833385, I haven't been to Skuta yet, so I don't know where the path goes and how snowy it is. I browsed fotkot and found this pic, hope it helps. Lp

Hello! Tomorrow I plan to go to Grintovec via Kokrško sedlo, wondering if the path is dry to the summit. Many thanks for a quick reply. lp

The path is almost entirely dry... above Kokrško sedlo you cross a few short snow patches. One section has a longer snowfield but it is bypassable. Yesterday the summit still had a few cm of new snow, no issue, it will melt by tomorrow for sure. Lp

Yesterday four of us set off to Grintovec via Kokrsko and Mlinarsko sedlo. To the bivouac under Grintovec the path is dry, then snow starts but no problem to Mlinarsko sedlo. The ridge after Mlinarsko is fully dry except some snow patches at the start. From the "notch" at the end of that ridge snow again, climb up it to the cables which are actually a bit below the summit. Then back the same way, and from Mlinarsko sedlo to Skuta and sleep in the bivouac. But that's for another forum. nasmeh
Since we went in the afternoon, the snow was already melting, so we didn't need either crampons or ice axe. At least in our opinion. Of course, that doesn't apply in the morning.

Today we visited Grintovec. The goal was to take the brave man from the Grintovec summit, which we succeeded in.velik nasmehvelik nasmeh
Wind just right 5m/s and magical mists. Thanks to the friendly trio who came to the summit, for help with the takeoff.
Otherwise the path is dry, just some snow patches here and there.
Video tonight.

On Grintovec today a bit cloudy..but the summit or roof was in clouds "at 7.30 in the morning".

Rest OK. Path super. No snow anymore. Cojzova was open for the first time this year.

Today I did the tour to Grintovec from the Kamniška Bistrica direction. Morning view of the peaks, which were in clouds, doubt in me whether to even start the tour or turn back home. Still I decided to go to Kokrsko sedlo and see how to proceed. At Kokrsko the decision to go to Grintovec, I had another one planned to conquer, but in such fog it will wait for next time. Together with another hiker we crawled towards the top, for a while walking in very dense fog, strong wind gusts. We reached the "roof" somewhere in the middle then the clouds opened up, moved away and phenomenal views. Later there was quite a crowd on the top despite strong wind. Descent to the valley same path, it was very nicenasmeh

Today despite not very encouraging weather forecast visited "my" Grintovec. WARNING: road to lower cable car station due to storms about 200m before the station very bumpy, so suggest parking before them - most did so today.

The peak was shyly dressed in fog this morning and annoying drizzle spiced it up. Still met some enthusiasts, on departure also heroes training for Grintovec run. Hats off, really.

See you up there,
Jure
