Well yeah, I was thinking of Marky and the comment below, that he should choose more adrenaline-packed routes to Grintovec...

@Marky:
If next year you have wishes for ferratas (I plan Via della vita-Mangart, Cjajnik), or also very demanding paths, you can write to me calmly, otherwise also in winter some tours (Stol, Kredarica, Veliki vrh, Debela peč ...that's kinda what I have planned). I've somehow done those harder ones, but I'd like even more.

Today a small group of hikers and paragliders set off on the 2nd memorial hike for Tomaž Humar. Despite favorable wind conditions, we had fog in the valley through which we flew with paragliders. Conditions on the path are pleasant, with little snow except 200 vertical meters below the summit, where there is a frozen crust. Weather nice and sunny above 1500 meters, at least in the morning. The company was excellent nasmeh, so I spent a nice unforgettable birthday in the mountains. Thanks everyone, see you next year.

Nice memorial. Too bad I didn't visit his rock this year. Tomaž Humar is still in the heart, natural spontaneity, honesty, as initiator of fund for help to poor in Himalaya, unwavering cheerfulness, healthy spirit and infusing positive spirit and encouragements, great support to us Slovenians. What every Slovenian should be, he stood out in positive personality side. Regardless that older alpinists saw him as extremist and man who risks too much, that media took him to last too hard route etc., he is written with capital letter in Slovenian roots and pride of Slovenian nation. With connecting to him we can still feel him, his spirit, just don't see him.
Let me add that Tomaž by his inner insight into truth of spirit and laws of creation and thus completely different relation to way of life from the rest, was something special. In harmony of his spirit he tried to catch infinite eternity of moment of existence and was aware of it. He was aware of field of this "short" (in pure presence of moment, which lasts) cut of time (its importance), which masters of wisdom call "oneness", in east Turiya, in India Samadhi, in Japan Zen (for Zen) and China Yin-Yang (Tao), with us churchly God's kingdom. He overthrew all fake, inauthentic, misleading valley life and directed to middle path of his spirit. Only this knows path and brings us to God's field of light, bliss, fulfillment. I myself believe that Tomaž there on the other side is already close to field of light, where no suffering, no sadness, no illness, no rebirths, but only eternal infinite harmony of unity, joy, satisfaction, happiness in field of light of creator God. They say few get there, because special order rules there and thus spiritual perfection of light seeker.

Hi
There is generally little snow up to Kokrško sedlo, none there. Yesterday crampons and ice axe stayed in the backpack, because the path is trodden or footprints made in frozen snow, this I say for height from 2200 m onwards.

Really, you guys are cool. Congrats!
Aha, now set up some kangaroo pocket, so others won't have to walk down to the valley on foot. mežikanje

Hi,

what's the path to Grintovec summit via streha like? Snow? Avalanche danger?
Thanks for information.

Best regards to all!

There is some snow, on the trodden path it doesn't reach more than the ankles, no avalanche danger. On the edge of streha it's dry. Good luck.

viharnik, judging by comment you've read book Ni nemogočih poti, where it writes about all his feelings, achievements and stories during conquering peaks. This includes some tragic stories that marked him strongly. Memory of Tomaž Humar will always live, as he really is one of few Slovenes worthy of all respect.
Anyway sorry for going a bit off topic.

Today Grintovec offered views as rarely. Path from Žagana peč past Kokrsko sedlo completely dry, on top a slight breeze. Visitors surprisingly few despite good forecast.

Yesterday I was up from Konec via Kokrsko sedlo, path still completely dry. Total maybe 20 people up there despite super weather. Views to Nanos or further.

Weather yesterday really super for this time of year, bit windy but not cold. Visitors really not that many for such nice weather. Views really fantastic.

I see you really enjoyed Grintovec, have one question: can you now drive by car to lower station in Kamniška Bistrica or do you have to leave car earlier?
thanks

Yes, you can drive by car to the lower cable car station, but the road just before the parking is quite bad.

Super photos!

If someone can just help me, as I'm always in a dilemma on the highest peaks of the KS Alps, whether my favorite peak in the Julijci - Mangart is visible? For this reason I slightly changed my colleague's photo, if some expert can answer!

LP!
Dilemma, can you see it or not? Mangart namely1
