If I'm not mistaken, this is Viš and Montanž in Italy.

I'd say this is far from being Mangart...

Not one, not the other, not the third. This is Grossvenediger in the High Tauern.

Don't kid me, seriously or what? So both Mangrt and (probably) also Jalo are hidden somewhere behind Škrlatica, Kukova Špica, Rokavi, Oltar and I don't know what else is in that group?

It seemed almost logical to me...

Yeah, really interesting. Two such respected giants like Jalovec and Mangart, but you can't see them from Grintovec. The first is covered by Razor, the second by Škrlatica. If you zoom in hard, you'd at least partially see both hiders.

Mangart definitely isn't here but in a dilemma about Grossvenediger, because then Veliki Klek would also be visible, but has anyone thought of the queen of the High Tauern, Hochalmspitze. Good luck and best regards!

Hochalmspitze is much further right and not visible on this photo.

I'd say Carnic Alps (peaks above Mokrine) or even Coglians. If you look at the line past Kukova špica, no chance for G.Venediger let alone Hochalmer. All the highest western Julians are hidden behind Škrlatica ridge.

Mangart is behind Dolkova špica (on the first photo you can see a small piece of white there in the back, check your photo at 100% zoom); what you marked on the photo is quite far aside. Find your peak on the panorama: panorama

Huh... this was a project. It took one hour to figure out exactly what we're looking at. It's the highest mountain of the Carnic Alps - Monte Coglians. so bravo, mikipi!

Greetings to all who tried to decipher the view from Grintovec. Dr. Ulrich Deuschle's program is really excellent, although it can round the peak outlines a bit in its own way. Attaching a picture of the central part of the Julian Alps, which with the mentioned program nicely resolves the dilemma of what can be seen and what not! Picture taken in winter.

Another interesting picture, excellent. Only around Montaž it's not too clear to me, but that's already details!

Gorgeous! One can't believe it's so nice up there when there's such fog down here. Completely different world. Gotta go a bit higher tomorrow and Sunday to recharge batteries.
