What are the conditions like at Bivouac under Grintovec - Mlinarsko sedlo - Grintovec?

On Friday I looked towards those areas from Velika Planina. There's still quite a bit of snow visible.

Last Wednesday, 11. 6., I went to Grintovec over the roof. Here are pics from the top of Grintavec towards Mlinarsko sedlo, if they're helpful.

This weekend I plan to climb Grintovec, but will start Friday afternoon to the bivouac where I will overnight, next day to the summit. Since it's my first time, how demanding is the path to the bivouac and then to the top currently? (snow conditions). I planned the easy route over the roof, but I'm unsure about the difficulty from the bivouac onwards? Do I need to backtrack if I want to climb via the easy path over the roof? Also, how is the bivouac occupancy? Is there a chance it will be full and I won't be able to sleep there? Thanks very much for answers.

Go this time rather via Kokrško sedlo and sleep in the hut. Next day via roof to the top. Then return in summer when there's no snow and do the desired tour.

Thanks for advice. Probably that's really the smartest.

The path by the bivouac will wait for you. Sense in your feet

Hi! Can anyone tell me if on the path from Kokrško to Grintovec you need to cross any more snow patches or if the path is fully dry? Please a clear answer, thanks.

Dry. Just a small snow patch that is easy to avoid. Go boldly.

Nice greeting! On Wednesday I plan a hike to Grintavec with a colleague. I'm wondering if anyone has recently done a circular tour, up over Kokrsko and Mlinarsko saddle and back over streho? Especially, what's the state regarding conditions? And where is it better to do the ascent from Konec or from Suhadolnik. Thanks :-)

There shouldn't be a problem, some ice axe never hurts to have along. Where you start is up to you, it's the same slog anyway. Safe steps regards D

For less knee grinding, the variant over Suhadolnik is nicer. In the notch between little and big Grintovec on the north, a steep snowfield surely still holds, so winter gear there is not superfluous.

Thanks for the answer, the conditions have changed so that bad weather is forecast for the morning, so we will postpone the ascent to experience daddy in nice weather

Is it possible to go to Grintovec via Taško and Streha without winter gear? Safely, of course .

Last Saturday it was already all OK. Those "two or three snowflakes" that maybe fell this week on Streha have surely already melted too.
