Hi!
What are the conditions like from Kokrško sedlo to the bivouac under Grintavec, then to Grintovec? Still snowy path?

Today already at 4:50, started from the lower station of the cargo cable car and hoped to reach Grintovec, halfway to the saddle a bit dewy, then below the top of the saddle still snow. Ate in the winter room and changed and went back to the valley, going further would be unwise: fog, wind, ...

Todi, you could put this under Kokrško sedlo, since we haven't seen Grintovec yet. Too bad for the bad weather, but still interesting. On the saddle, the wind really buffeted us. We didn't meet even a single hiker. Strange  A few more of my pics.

Yesterday, Saturday 31.05., at the summit. To Kokrško sedlo nice weather, then a bit below the summit it "closed in". Over the roof still in snow, yesterday also all frozen, because up there no more than 0 degrees and it was blowing nicely.

In clear weather it can be hard frozen in the morning. During the day, when severe thaw sets in, it becomes very slippery on steep terrain (firm below, upper layer thaws - applies to high mountains). In any case snow conditions will be worse in the future than now. Slip risk awaits us on both ascent and descent, so winter gear is essential with choice of less steep snow terrains.

We were up yesterday, crampons and ice axe mandatory!!! The roof is frozen and dangerous for slipping!!

Hut at the start is Pri Jurju in Kamniška Bistrica - a bit before the end, to the left

No need for winter gear for the ascent to Grintovec anymore. You cross snow only once, elsewhere it can be bypassed. But an earlier start is recommended, because I feel sorry for those poor guys going up in the strongest sun.

According to the pictures, there was much less snow today. The only snowfield recommended to avoid is somewhere at the start of the roof. That shouldn't be a problem, as the whole roof is one path
