If anyone has data on Grintovec, how's the snow? Me and my buddy plan to go tomorrow from the "V koncu" direction then over Gamsov skret and then over Dolge stene to the top. Next day probably just descent down Streha to Cojzova and then a walk to the freight cableway for Kokrsko sedlo.

I started this morning from V Koncu and past the bivouac towards Mlinarsko sedlo and then to the top of Grintovca. The ridge was still dry, while the slope you go on after the end of the ridge towards the top was covered with a few cm of snow, nothing dangerous just a bit more caution. I assume tomorrow or in a couple of days there won't be any more snow.

Not enough snow for winter gear, nowhere to stick the ice axe and crampons don't help much either, but more dangerous for slipping than on completely dry. I think everyone will judge for themselves where and how to walk, as for me if folk go up in swimsuits - I don't care....

I can only write that on yesterday's ascent to Gritovec (from the bivouac below it, then over Mala vratca and across the Dolge stene ridge to the top), my buddy and I didn't encounter even one single snow patch that hindered us in any way. When I look at KSA today, above ca. 2000m there's already noticeable white base.

Today on Grintovec from Ravenska Kočna to Češka koča and up Frischaufova to Mlinarsko sedlo and to the top. Weather better than forecast, on top warm and sunny with a little breeze. Quite a lot of visitors. The snow patch before the wall still blocks normal entry to the wall, but you can enter the wall by the scree and then right to the marked path. It's a very demanding route mainly due to scree and friability, especially great attention and caution needed on descent. Otherwise nicely equipped route and some new fixed cables. Češka koča was open, water can be refilled at the spring by the hut. A couple of snapshots.

Probably the result of lightning, that someone would do damage like that seems almost impossible to me.

On Sunday, tons of us were on top, all glissaded nicely, from Suhadolnik and Kamnik side. I went in the afternoon, snow was real soft. Downhill sank in nicely though. No gear needed. But advise it, mornings and shady spots already cold. Surprisingly lots of snow. Good luck!
