I myself bivouacked under Grintovec from Thursday to Friday (inside it's still quite warmer than outside even in late evening hours - hats off to the constructors who managed to utilize solar energy absorption so well, or whatever makes it so noticeable), then early start and still in the morning at the summit, where I waited for the partial solar eclipse. During that time other hikers started arriving, I went back to the valley and to work.  There's really little snow... but still enough to get down really fast.

21.03.2015 - Today it went quite fast, 3h 35min from Konc to the summit. Weather super, snow melted quite well anyway.

Hi.
Super pictures! If the weather is good, maybe I'll go to the Grintovec summit itself. This week I was at Kam.Saddle and it was great. If the weather is good this week, I'll hop to Grintovec or Kredarica.
Can you tell me what's the difficulty like for Grintovec (start from Konc).

Planinec4, as for difficulty, no special things, only on the roof be a bit more careful. It's quite a strenuous and long tour

Pantani1, thanks for answer. As much as I see from pics, no big exposures. But still better to ask someone who's been up there in these conditions.
Hope weather is super and good base forms so no need to trailbreak too much again (like this week at kam.saddle when snow sank to hip ).

Planinec4....the roof is not problematic..nor is there so much new snow. The hardest part was right below the saddle where it sank up to ass...but all depends on temperatures....if it freezes overnight and you go early you'll have much easier trip...

The question is how much this will still come into play, that it's better to go at night or early in the morning than, say, in the forenoon. Because at night it doesn't cool down significantly anymore. Well, I won't smarten up, it's surely better in any case to go very early in the morning
It's true that a huge amount of this snow (that fell before the weekend) will have melted by the weekend.
Some proof of that you can see already in the Kamniško sedlo thread.
PS: Maybe I'll decide for the weekend on Grintovec too.

The road is quite cleared (and dry, of course), but if we reached Jermanco without major problems on Sunday, then surely to Žagane peči as well.
