Has anyone been up there in the last days?

Yesterday. Over the roof completely dry. As much as I could see, I think also from Mlinarsko sedlo there are no major problems (ridge looks quite dry).

1.10.2017 - Kam. Bistrica - Grintovec - Kam. Bistrica. As the predecessor wrote, the path over the roof is dry and without peculiarities. But on the top quite strong cold wind was blowing. Overall, nice autumn day.

Was there on Sunday. Žagana Peč - Kalška Škrbina - Kokrško Sedlo and further over the roof. Back under the cable car. Don't know conditions from Suhadolnik. Path without peculiarities. Hut at Kokrško closed. Good luck.

Approach from Suhadolnik direction to the saddle is OK. Both paths, the old one and the path over Taško, are without peculiarities. On Monday I ascended over Taško, descended the old path.

On Wednesday up via Veliki podi and Mlinarsko sedlo. Conditions OK but not fully dry. Last part below Grintovec sprinkled with snow and a bit icy as shady side and windy day. Used small crampons for better feel. From Mlinarsko sedlo over secured ridge all dry. But in last part landslide took one wire rope so caution needed there.
Landslide carried away the rock with the fixed cable.1

With a lump in my throat today on Grinta - I just can't get it out of my head that Kocbek's hut is gone.
Otherwise warm, calm and dry (but tomorrow it'll be completely different)

Yesterday on Grintovec via Streha: path dry, winter gear unnecessary.

Today on Grintovec. I left the car at the end of the road above Suhadolnik and continued via Taško to Kokrsko sedlo and to the summit. On return from the saddle I climbed about 50 vertical meters on the path to Kalška gora, then turned right onto the transverse path under the cliffs of Kalška gora and main Kalški greben, followed it until it reached screes above the plain Pod grebenom, from there straight through the forest to the car.

Weather was cloudy, foggy and hopelessly depressing in the morning, spotted the hut at Kokrsko sedlo only a few meters before it. The last 200 vertical meters below Grintovec summit completely cleared, views from the top really magnificent. Wind blowing in upper part not too strong. Met about twenty hikers en route, mostly actually women hikers, several completely alone. Lately this seems somehow widespread, what the hell are the guys doing?

Above Kokrsko sedlo the path under cliffs of Kalška gora and ridge caught my attention. Had plenty of time, so went on it. Interesting and very panoramic (Kočna and Grintovec like on a plate) hunting (perhaps shepherd) path, once obviously hand-cut leads through grassy slopes and across numerous gullies, of which one or two a bit harder to pass as floods washed away the path, others mix of quite steep soil and sand sliding under feet.

About a kilometer from Cojzova koča at approx 1800m locked water catchment, shortly after starts belt of dwarf pines, which was recently carefully cut back along the path. After end of dwarf pine terrain path goes through very steep forests above Taško and further above Stara pot. Path, below which are 200 or 300m drops, here and there barely wide for a good boot, inclined and earthy, so walking on it in wetness definitely not recommended. Path persists under cliffs some 500m longer than old path, then elegantly descends via overgrown ridgelet into gully and on to screes. Just above screes noticed two pegs, obviously for a ladder long gone, higher up even larger rock with faded red marking dots.

From screes onwards didn't search for path anymore, but went straight down first via gully, then through dense spruce and later deciduous forest, until reached old path right before junction for path via Taško.

Winter gear nowhere needed, of course not even at Grintovec summit.
I noticed Cojz's hut just before I arrived at it.1
The only signs of approaching winter.2
At the top, however, a completely different world. Sunny and friendly.3
Winds from the south chase clouds around Planjava and Ojstrica.4
On Skuta I spotted two, and another two were ascending past Štruca.5
Veliki podi and Bivak pod Grintovcem were also free of fog.6
In neighboring Austria there was no fog today.7
They stood motionless for at least 10 minutes looking into the distance. 8
On the return, Cojzova koča was much more visible. Photo taken from the cross path.9
The path initially leads along grassy slopes. It can be seen that it was manually dug and not just worn by footsteps.10
Water intake at approximately 1800 m.11
Interesting passages.12
The scree along the path has been freshly cleared.13
Rock with two red trail marking dots.14
In the forest, the path is sometimes barely shoe-wide.15
After noon, black clouds covered Grintovec and Kočno, but the autumn colors remained.16
One of two old pitons at the end (or start) of the path.17
Below in blue: path over Taško, red: Stara pot, above in blue: cross path.18

The path you describe above Kokarsko sedlo is called "Nemška pot" and was marked in the past. Of course, time has fairly gnawed at it. mežikanje

@Panda, thanks a lot! Of course to you too, @Garmont! Maybe someone will revive the path, since where it goes through dwarf pines it's carefully trimmed, at least one km long if not more. The path is extremely panoramic and "hunter-style" (i.e. elegantly) routed.

Maybe you know more about this path? Could the locked catchment at around 1800m be the water source for Cojzova koča? The path with both variants is actually drawn on the map...

Big thanks to all for sharing info. Such paths are personally very interesting to me. Could open a topic "Abandoned paths". This year I've already discovered five such paths, namely old marked path to Kalška gora, Hojnikova pot to Lanež, via Grlo to Rjavčev vrh, Klemenča jama - Logarski kot and now also Nemška pot (thanks @j., @Panda, @Garmont for info).

18.11. to Grintovec via Streha. That day up there about 10 people, good track made. Below Cojzova koča it's sinking but not too bad, Streha has at least relatively little snow lower down. Last 300 vertical meters fairly hard snow.
On the Dolge stene I spotted three mountaineers, maybe they tried Grintovec via gully?
