Hike done last week, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Fitness medium poor, but lots of will . With cable car at 1800h to top, then good 2 hours to Areh. Overnight at Ruška koča at Areh, room price 14€ with hiking card, ate excellent deer goulash 7€ too. Friday start at 0600h, arrival at Pesek around 1230, with some intermediate stops. At Pesek excellent, but quite expensive lunch (especially since hut normally accessible by car for supplies), little lounging on loungers and at 1530 on to Ribniški vrh. Arrival Ribniška koča at 1850h, with already burning feet. Hostess initially a bit gruff, but softened after praising her really excellent beans . (Room with dinner and breakfast 26€ with hiking card, since breakfast only at 7h, hostess kindly made excellent sandwiches instead) Saturday again start at 0600h, over Kope to Koča pod Kremžarjevim vrhom, here drink beer or two (by the way they have extremely friendly and fun host) and hop to Slovenj Gradec, arrived at 1300h, last day walking very strenuous because mostly downhill, and some steep sections where legs suffer. Trail otherwise super marked and hard to get lost, mostly through forest so not too hot. Views normally none except few points, during week met very few hikers, bit more between Rogla(Pesek) and Lovrenc Lakes. At Lovrenc lakes would mention from viewpoint tower you see not one lake, probably due to dense creeping pine cover. Excellent trip for families and people with vertigo/height fear, no problems here hehe. If going again, would start first day earlier and divide hike into 3 even days. lp
