This year there's little snow down below, no cornice at all. Through Štenge there's a nice passage secured with a chain. I continue on the marked path, soon leaving it and traversing left to the first snowfields. I quickly realize usual passages won't go, so left over a small rock step with chain assistance. Higher, extensive snowfields. Snow nicely frozen, walking pure pleasure. At Dolge prode junction, upper gully and summit rocks visible. Hoping it's doable, continue. Barely two meters over rocks, then in sun above Jezerci. Descenders from top: Jovan and group. Short chat. Stick to summer path with good tracks (thanks), ridge mostly dry, summit snow of course. Watch paraglider flying, another on descent. Descent through "gully" fully sunlit, then behind Turn under Čez Brežice saddle, on marked path to valley.

Igor's variant appeals to me . Description is good, two questions follow. Interested in difficulty and timing, if it's longer than the approach from Tamar through the couloir THANKS

Jalovec is Jalovec, it should never be underestimated, especially in snowy conditions. Ascent and descent on the slope above Loški couloir is currently, due to too little snow and wetness, very demanding. Also the ridge with some icy traverses. Through the sufficiently hard Ozebnik, as always, 'projectiles' of rocks and ice stalactites still fly from above. Due to bad conditions for quite a few days, like Montaž last time, I advise against ascent to Jalovec. About the reasons why, in comments on the link below. 'BT88': Definitely more demanding ascent to Jalovec through Loški couloir, technically and, depending on who, perhaps also time-wise. Depends on how you tackle it, depending on conditions and numerous possible passages. Check my album Loški couloir, 05. 05. 2014. https://picasaweb.google.com/113805105178377351223/Jalovec22042015#

@vukovivek: on picture no. 9 it's, if not a mistaken description, Goličica from Ozebnik summit. Jalovška škrbina is behind under Goličica. Shame you didn't attach a pic from the short ferrata on the ascent to the notch. From it there are plenty of nice views around, also from the top, right on Goličica and left on Šit ridge.

Redbull, thanks for the great report and wonderful pics. Like wine; the older the better. Good luck on your further mountain paths.
