So as not to tire with countless pics like the predecessor - up and down via Kot, all dry. Path branching right at Kotovo sedlo beautiful, comfortable, scree descent terrible.

The days of my hikes to higher mountains are over. That's why I'm really grateful to everyone who posts pictures, so I can relive memories a bit.

I join Janez's opinion. Such pictures, especially if equipped with captions, are not only interesting, but very useful and welcome for many hikers. This has nothing to do with Instagram or Facebook culture. I hope that @lijaneja and others don't stop "tiring".

Everyone sooner or later comes to the point where they like to look at pictures and remember… It's hard for the young and full of energy to understand this. I also think that pictures in describing conditions on the trail itself mean more than the note next to it. The note is always subjective, can be misleading, especially if anonymous. A picture always shows the real state. If posted right after the hike and not after two months, as some on this forum habitually do. How many pictures someone posts is entirely their business. I think for now it's not determined how many we can post.

"If we post it right after the hike and not after two months, as some on this forum have the habit of doing." I agree, but obviously some can, and even get praise (to put it nicely) for tours from 2-4 months ago aha, and selfies are mandatory

The view on how old pictures we can post on this forum depends on what information we're looking for. If I'm wondering what the current conditions on a certain trail are, it's obvious that two-month-old pictures don't show current conditions. However, if like me we enjoy beautiful shots from the mountains, then two-month-old pictures are welcome too. I also think that any kind of limiting posts on this forum, or determining which posts are "right" and which aren't, would be harmful. Except limiting when it comes to deliberate rude and offensive posts.

On Saturday we were there, but not to the summit, no snow, wet rocky jumps and very bad unprocessed snow. Actually all of us, lots of ski tourers, ended the tour exactly at the winter variant entry to upper Jalovec above the couloir. The couloir had a track made, still sinking a lot. Snow still quite unprocessed.

Yes, Jalovec is a mountain that chooses when to invite whom as guests. Several times I misjudged too, when difficulty or danger was greater than imagined. Even the couloir is delicate, and the traverse that can send you quickly into Dejan's couloir. Temperature at least minus five degrees, sun not welcome, and at least nearly a meter of snow. All praise that you turned back, the mountain will wait....

Yesterday, 9.2, on Jalovec. Start at 3 a.m. from Planica. At junction of summer path to Kotovo sedlo, old avalanche debris covered with fresh snow, tricky to walk. Further on quite postholed for walkers, almost whole time through the couloir to exit. Winter chimney not done, so normal approach. Some snow here and there, but no problems. Ridge without peculiarities, here and there you must scratch the rock because poorly covered. On top around 9 a.m. Conditions on summit part were super, also on descent. Really nice for pics. Only wind was for pop.... Return without peculiarities. Nice day.

Thanks everyone. On picture six it surely blew so hard that the photographer leaned a bit too much and exaggerated the steepness The same goes for pics from the top. Taking pics with mobile without gloves is not very pleasant, so not many pics from the top But the views were, especially at sunrise, really incredible.
