@Trobec, I forgot to mention that this Blessed Mountain Time probably also applies to the Southern Hemisphere, not only the Northern. Outside this time unfortunately it is not advisable for Lowland-worldly people to venture into the Mountain world, which starts above 1140 meters. Experienced Hikers can dare to do it at all times, without major harm. But such an ascent outside the mentioned Time is not harmless for lowland-worldly people. Nice Mountain greeting.

Yesterday I lay in the grass at the saddle for over an hour. No breath of wind, August sun, sky with just occasional clouds here and there.
Road to Jermanca mirror-smooth (prohibition sign not up yet velik nasmeh

), little path nicely carpeted with trodden leaves. Quite some people - also towards Brana. Didn't stop at the hut, but regretted not airing the winter room.
And a request; Please don't park at the last parking area (space for about three vehicles), as it's reserved for mountain rescuers, and walk those last 300m flat.

I usually air out the winter room or bivouac if I stay there a bit longer. In dry weather I open the door and at least one window (or skylight), so air circulates best in the space.
Of course, it is crucial to close everything well when leaving. nasmeh

I was at the saddle on Saturday (7.1.). Inversion in the valley in the morning, otherwise warm, up top clear skies and just below zero. Snow starts only at Pastirci (1430m), but little of it. On the top of the saddle about 30cm - firm and packed, no sinking. Path well trodden and slippery in places. Saw some people putting on crampons only for descent, but I think worth it for ascent too. Microspikes enough, ice axe unnecessary.

Some hikers continued to Planjava, for Brana conditions supposedly totally unsuitable and too dangerous (steep icy slope, powder under ice).

This time Thursday was "bullet day", which belonged only to me on the whole route, since everyone else is obviously skiing.
Along the dry, dusty road I drive to the turnoff for Kamniško saddle and park on concrete snow. Although there are still some bends to Jermanca, I didn't regret walking, as the car wouldn't go much further. Road driven to the hunting observatory at Jermanca but not with such small cars as mine. Path well trodden only to Pastirci, don't know which nut nasmeh

thought of directissima, as I passed by there casually. I put on crampons only at Kamnica, regretting not having done so earlier, as snow already frozen below it, with a few cm fresh powder, at hut already over ankle. That compacted snow was annoying on return, strong sun softened it quickly and formed balls. 100m below hut mandatory crampons and ice axe. At saddle light breeze but extremely cold, hands more in pockets than on camera shutter. mrk pogled
