We were there today and as Matej wrote... a bit of obstacles that do not cause problems. Path dry, only lots of scree and a bit need to watch in places. Before us huge rock rolled at high speed down gully if not rolled past, might got one of us...

The road is in good condition up to the last 100m, at the end some bigger potholes, where with a personal car with a bit of care if you know how you can drive through.

Yesterday from Erjavčev rovt to Kepa. Road to P in the condition as mukica wrote. Trail cleared, newly marked, crossings over pasture fences new, also the fixed cables look renewed. All praise to everyone who takes care that we hikers can enjoy such trails.

How is the access to Kepa from Belca? Is the footpath section Belca - Štenge now passable? Further I assume no problems.

Today I went from Erjavčev rovt via direct to Dovska baba, then also to Gubno and Kepa. Descent past the hunting hut. Path all ok. But the road is so-so..

But it's really funny how at the start it says No Marking, then you have dots every 2 meters.

Kleine Markierung means small marking, not that there are few of them .

It doesn't say Kleine, but Keine. And that means there are none

Maybe really sometime again, Boštjan, but from the upper parking, because walking the nice road kills me. From the hut onwards super. Where it matters, the rock is relatively compact and well provided for guides with clients. At harder spots there are drilled eyebolts where with matching 'ears' (which you must bring) you can set up rope protection or belay the climber. Where there is scree, it is a great help as it is so well cut that it serves as reliable holds while climbing. Sadly the slope is relatively short, a fit young guy overcomes it in less than an hour. Despite being a border peak, we didn't notice a Slovenian word, although there were quite a few visitors. The hut is fully wooden, built in '61??, the caretakers are just like that, because despite the nice road leading to it, they have no other drinks than radler and juice. Before the tunnel we didn't lose a single minute, and I still haven't seen the customs Since Boštjan has already nicely described and drawn everything, I'll be brief, and likewise I'll try to duplicate as few photos as possible.

New route description: Belca-Kepa Park at the marked parking spot by the sawmill. Go back a few meters to the start of the marked path, which we follow past the barrier. The path then goes directly into the streambed (right track to the abandoned farm). Midway in the rockfall debris from the landslide, spot the marking on a larger rock. To there and then to the other side of the stream, find the best crossings. This section is short. Follow the path along the sand, which is already quite visibly trodden, aided by the marking on the tree where the path turns into the forest. The path then steeply ascends in the forest and we reach the road. On the left is a tunnel; if we walk through it, we can see how the landslide carried away the road. We continue on the road to the right. Follows a long walk on an almost always flat road, which is buried or eroded in several places, closer to the barrier almost completely washed away, but crossings are no problem. After about 1 hour and 15 minutes we are at the former starting point by the barrier. Follow the sign for Kepa (pic 1), the path descends into the streambed, crosses it and turns left up the bank, big marking and signpost. The path begins to ascend more steeply. Further ascent through the forest, occasionally interrupted by a shorter clearing overgrown with bushes. The marked hiking path then crosses the forest road twice; when we reach it the third time, follow it to the right to a somewhat larger parking lot by the border ridge. From the parking lot, in a few steps we climb to the border ridge and continue east. The relatively gentle path along the border ridge quickly brings us to a small bivouac (2 bunks) located on the Slovenian side of the ridge. From the bivouac, continue on the marked trail, to which the path from Austria soon joins. The path then ascends somewhat more steeply and leads further along an ever-narrowing ridge. The increasingly scenic path then crosses a few slightly exposed gullies and then turns right (completely to the Slovenian side). The path further traverses up a steep and well-protected slope that is very exposed to falling rocks. Higher up, the path turns left and then ascends the steep summit slope of Kepa. The steep and gravel-filled path then brings us higher back to the border ridge, where the next junction is. Continue left (right Dovje) on the path that brings us to the summit of Kepa after a few more steps. Belca-Barrier 1:15, Barrier-bivouac 1:15, bivouac-Kepa 1:45.
