What's the condition of the path (snowfields) from Planina Podvežak to Korošica and then on to Ojstrica? Is winter gear needed?

What's the condition of the road to Podvežak and further the path to Korošica? Is it still possible from Podvežak with touring skis? If possible, how much time do I need for that tour?

The hut on Korošica is burning, probably it will burn to the ground

It can't be true, but it is. We met that family yesterday at half past three in the afternoon at Podvežak. They told me they have the key to the winter room... and now this.

When you enter up the loft ladder into the upper rooms, there's first an insulated corridor where of course you can sleep in a pinch. The winter room is further along the corridor and is locked.

Catastrophe. Apparently the woman poured kerosene into the pot thinking it was water. Unbelievable, surely a reasonable person at least smells what's in the bottle before intending to drink the contents??

Whether it is at home in the garage, somewhere in the workshop, bivouacs, winter rooms or various corners on farms, it is important that dangerous/flammable substances are in proper packaging and properly labeled just so that such and other accidents don't happen. If it is a water bottle and the label says 'Spring water', probably many assume that it is. The case will, I hope, be a quite expensive lesson for all who have read the news and especially for societies and caretakers of such and other mountain objects where many users for next visitors, I believe in good faith, leave surplus of their goods. Let all this move somewhere from here...

Grega, you're right in a way, but it's really hard to imagine mixing any flammable substance with water ...

There must be something to it when they say don't believe everything that's written.

@grega z brega, they covered the building with sheet metal because of the snow that was wetting the walls. If you've ever been there in winter or spring, you know how high the snow reached... during my visits almost to the roof in front of the entrance.
