Kokrska and Jezerska Kočna

There's practically no snow left, what there is can be bypassed. But there's a lot of scree, sand, small rocks, so you need to be very careful when walking and climbing. The summit of J. Kočna is all cracked (and will one day just crash into the valley), which requires extra caution. Otherwise the path is very nice and interesting. For Grintovec I don't know, we went back the same way. Good luck!

Yesterday did a tour to both Kočnas, started and finished in Kamniška Bistrica. Path dry, freshly marked and damn hot, so sweat poured. LP. Lajči

Yesterday from Suhadolnik via Taška to Kokrska and Jezerska Kočna. Descent through the known "preduh" and via Špremova to path junction and hop to Grintovec. Descent to Cojzova koča and back to Suhadol. Together with breaks took a good 11 hours. Protections o.k., path from Kokrska to Jezerska well protected, steps crumbly. Carefully, it goes. LP

With girlfriend yesterday conquered Kočna. Started at cargo cableway, path there still in bad condition. At Češka koča short break for tea and coffee then to Kočna. On the path itself no peculiarities, maybe just a bit more scree in places. Protections ok. As warning though, that on the top, before the path meets the one to Grintovec, we saw ice candles already and some ice accumulated on the path itself. Otherwise just samples but obviously need to think about that too. Nice view from top to Austria and Kamniške, to Ljubljana cloudy. Back also without problem, just colder. And ričet at Češka warmed us up. Nice Sunday trip. Ps, at 16 when returning, we met the Poljak family on the ascent, with two small kids. Footwear and gear....under criticism. On my warning the "dad" just waved hand. No comment!

Start at 08:05 at Suhadolnik and via Dolce to Kokrska Kočna, whose summit was reached at 11:25. Trail is in good condition and nicely marked, caution due to scree on the trail and rockfall - even today it rattled quite nicely. Weather initially nice around noon then mists rolled in and enveloped the mountain. And some pics.

I agree with the previous, I was there last week, ... and even in dry conditions this passage is very demanding, it would be good to string some wire there so one can hold on without worry! Who can decide about this anyway?

We also went on this nice path last Sunday and regarding the "preduh", there's really not much space. I was surprised because I thought it was wider overall, but it's not. But it's interesting!

The preduh didn't bother me(if they secure it, it will lose its charm , but more the crumbly and unprotected part from scree to rocky part(after part of old Suhadolnik path). Especially this part is tricky on descent. Anyway it was a couple years ago. Maybe conditions are different now.

"lost its charm..." I completely agree with that statement. Even on some pathless mountains some would nail ladders so they are accessible to them

Why shouldn't mountains be accessible to everyone who goes there??

because not every mountain is for everyone, don't you think?

Even on a secured path you can walk in such a way that, if you feel like it, you don't even touch the safety cable. You find holds and steps in the rock, you're careful anyway... Normally, you're clipped in with a self-belay kit, you just don't drag on the wire. The wolf is sated and the goat is whole.

If not every mountain is for everyone, who are then these chosen ones? I also don't like crowds in the mountains, but dividing into chosen and unchosen hikers is also nonsense.

Who wrote that they divide them into chosen and unchosen? , even though you're putting words into others' mouths... clarify this chosen-unchosen a bit

YOU'VE BEEN BULLSHITTING FOR FIVE. THE GEOLOGIST IS COMPLETELY RIGHT. HOW WOULD IT LOOK IF CABLES WERE EVERYWHERE? I'D GLADLY JOIN WHEN GIVING THOSE WHO DISCUSS HERE WHAT SHOULD OR SHOULDN'T BE A BASKET ON THE SHOULDER AND 30 METERS OF CABLE AND LET THEM CARRY IT THEMSELVES. HOW FAR, AND THE REST OF THE EQUIPMENT WE MARKACISTS NEED TO SECURE SUCH A PATH.

I'm surprised by such and similar malicious attacks, especially from hikers, whom I always thought were good and friendly people. Why do we always have to knock a person down to the bottom, just because they expressed their opinion? I have also realized that cables are where they're not needed, where they would be good to have, there are none. But I don't mean anything bad about the markacists, no one needs to install cables because of me. People, a bit more tolerance really doesn't hurt.
