Yes, Tjaša, get used to it, that's the practice of individuals, arrogance and intolerance towards others and different ones, less experienced, slower ... simply, chest-beating is their good trait. Well, come on guys, here you are, I wrote my opinion, now full throttle with your comments,...

In this thread one type of response is missing, so I'll substitute: "What are you bullshitting, I'm only interested in current conditions here!".

I think there's already too much iron in KSA so every additional meter of cable is nonsense, which spots should be secured and which not let's leave to the markacists. With persistence and mountain mileage even the iron becomes more annoying and useless (at least in some places).

We have so many hills and mountains that everyone can find something for themselves. Markacists though, all thanks to them for voluntary and sacrificial work, are surely those who will know where and how to secure the paths. Some "wilderness" must remain.

Saturday's goal was Kočna from Suhadolnik over Taško, Hudi graben and Dolce. Ascent through forest, crossing steep and slippery when wet slopes, descent into the gully and again steep ascent to the grassy slopes of Srednji Dolci, then nice walk to the start of the scree under the Kočna walls. Then for many the "nicest" and like a viper long ascent over scree to the entry into the wall. The path in the wall is not fully secured, but offers enough holds to comfortably climb to the top. In the notches there are still some snow remnants, but passages are not problematic. The biggest problem is the crumbly terrain and scree deposits that like to slide into the valley. At the top a beautiful view opened onto a sea of fog and clouds over the valley. The day was warm, even too warm for November, so Andrej and I dressed more substantially only at the top when it got a bit windy. We descended the ascent route, only from the bivouac that reigns on the hillock under the mountain it wasn't without Andrej's off-trail straight down steep grasses, crossing two gullies and on soft bed of conifers and deciduous to the road at Suhadolnik.

Sabina, thanks...really nice tour, although I was "whining" across the whole scree ...photos are like that thanks to nature's beauties, which I more or less successfully caught in the lens.

Hribovc88 - thanks . All tours are beautiful, each in its own way... every mountain also has its charm and surprises us again and again on each visit... you just have to know how to feel and experience it. In all conditions. I wish you many nice mountain experiences

Ksena, did you see me when I waved greeting to you from neighboring Grintovec? LP Andrej

Andrej, hi! I saw quite a few people, yes, there on neighboring Grintovec. Specifically first two, then four, then two more. Probably there were more of you... based on the number of parked cars at Suhadolnik. I don't even think about approaches from Kam. Bistrica. Did I see you waving in greeting? Greetings from the mountains from all of us anyway constantly circle and touch us, right ... regardless if we see the waving greeting or not. So I can say that the greeting flew to me too, to Kočna. Too bad we didn't meet. I think we were once really close... maybe on Blegoš? Greeting to you too.

The gentleman I met on the trail would be very grateful for any info on the lost pup. By tracks it seems he took it somewhere towards Suhadolnik. Black labrador (doesn't) respond to name Tor, if you spot it please notify Jože at 041659668, thanks. Pics of situation from Kočna and area in gallery https://picasaweb.google.com/100jan47/Kocna?feat=directlink

Tell more about conditions and that descent from Grintovec roof to Dolce... How demanding is the descent actually, like the notch in Grdi Graben say?

super tour, just that it isn't bivak under Skuta but bivak under Kočne... , what from V side you think still doable, or missed those crazy gullies? e.g. 3rd pic gully to notch between Kočne, but apparently extremely risky passage there... tell more so we won't just hike hills

also two Jezerska guys yesterday did the tour, via roof to Grintovec, gully to notch and opposite gully direct to top of our Kočna, conditions ideal, just right hard and soft to focus almost all attention on surroundings, besides nature's beauties we admired chamois play on snow, end via path over Hudi Graben where trail almost fully dry and nicely marked
