There's some new snow, tomorrow it will be quite warm so it will probably melt but on the sunny side.

I've wondered many times what that metal thing similar to a grill on the top of Jezerska Kočna is. Maybe someone knows nasmeh
Yesterday afternoon on both summits without a cloud, on the path hot to cool the soul...

I'm attaching a photo, curious what you see in it. It also seemed most like a barbecue to me. Maybe I was just hungry :-)

Jure

I agree that not every mountain is for everyone, which depends on age, abilities, physical strength, training and much more. But I think in this case it should be considered that it's a mandatory point of the Slovenian Mountain Trail, which as such should be relatively safely accessible also to less strong, trained, but still mountain lovers who would like to walk this trail and thus get to know many beautiful parts of the homeland?

This route is definitely not for beginners, no doubt about that. It's also not secured in some parts, so I recommend the ascent with experienced mountaineers.

Personally, I don't rate the route as difficult, but as the previous one wrote - it depends on the individual, so take this as a subjective assessment that has no professional basis.

One of my favorite hikes in Kamnik-Savinja Alps-Suhadolnik, Grdi graben, bivouac under Kočna-supposedly damaged-but does anyone know if it's repaired yet. This bivouac is so familiar to me that I would bivouac here for two days. Then from the bivouac to both Kočnas and then to Grintavec, to the hut and back to the valley. All-day hike for which you have to wait for the weather. Worth it, adequately secured, medium difficulty. Let everyone try what is really difficult, those capable go to Koroška Baba via the climbing route above Ledine. I climbed that, better said pulled myself up last week. Waiting for the weather! Regards.

The bivouac has been renovated.

Very commendable. Extremely fast renovation.
Apparently someone left the door open and the storm tore it off!?

I don't know the story, but I know the whole roof was blown away, which can be clearly seen about 200m lower in the abyss below the bivouac. The roof is new and the bivouac is normally usable.

Hello
On Saturday or Sunday (depending on the weather) I plan the route from Suhadolnik to both Kočnas, Grintavec and then back to the valley.
When reading your debates about the protections, you've scared me a bit. I'm not inexperienced but still you've planted a bit of doubt in my mind. Is that ridge really that dangerous?
I have several secured climbing routes behind me and none has scared me so far.
Please compare the difficulty with some other secured climbing route to make the decision about the planned tour easier.

The path can be compared, or rather in my opinion it's somewhat easier than Hanz's path to Mala Mojstrovka or Tominšek's to Triglav. For comparison, Kopiščerjeva to Prisojnik, or Triglav via Plemenice are technically much more demanding, of course it's just my humble opinion.
best regards

Many thanks for the information. You helped with the decision.
Given that the paths you mentioned weren't a problem for me, I'm setting off on this circular path on Saturday.
Enjoy the sunny weekend

I too have already done the tour mentioned by Velkavrh and can say that except that it's a bit exposed in places, the path is without special features: http://bojanambrozic.wordpress.com/2010/07/19/kokrska-in-jezerska-kocna-ter-grintovec/

Many thanks for the reply too, Bojan.
But I have one more question.
If my legs after the first day aren't too heavy, I plan to sleep at Kokrško sedlo and on Sunday continue over Skuta, Turska gora to Kamniško sedlo.
Any useful information? Is the path solidly marked? Approx. how many hours of walking does this represent?
Thanks, thanks

Bojan, you made a nice report as you always do. Good luck further! Forget that rescue thing, but it's a reminder! Best regards.

Today a beautiful day in the mountains. Started from Ravenska, return the same. At first it didn't look good, but the mists embracing the peaks soon dispersed and the previously heavy steps were now much lighter. Against expectations met some hikers, looking at Grintovec I felt sorry for it, as it couldn't catch a breath for a minute from the weight of hikers mežikanje. After arriving at Češka koča the mists embraced the peaks again, as if they drew the curtain just for us. Thanks to Urban for good company on descent mežikanje..

Thanks, Velkavrh. Today my holidays started and for the next two months if all goes according to plan I'll be in the mountains every few days. Why according to plan? Because I've had an injured (sprained) ankle for 5 weeks and it still hurts. Tomorrow I'm going on a test tour to see how the ankle holds up, then we'll see.
