Bojan A: 5 weeks with ankle in "cast"?! I've been "idling" for eight weeks due to the same injury and since I've had enough, tomorrow to the rocks, whatever happens. It still hurts a bit and swells during the day.

Too bad, because I'm going next week. I'd like to see you walking sometime. I think I saw you running once, but I can't remember which mountain run it was, I know it wasn't Grintavec or Črna prst. I know I couldn't keep up with you. Please as few sprains as possible. I also had my leg in a cast two seasons ago due to a sprain. Because it didn't go down as it went up, I jumped from one leap in Šraj peska gully, landing feet first in the sand below, and one leg didn't hold. Since then I carry a rope with me, and they taught me a proper knot too; I have an alpinist trainee at home. L.P.

Sadly, I have to say I'm worried if I can run again at all. This ankle just won't heal properly. I sprained it on a sidewalk, totally unnecessarily. Today I walked 5 hours, but at such a slow pace (up to the ankle pain threshold), that I'd probably laugh at myself first. Oh, horror. I had lots of time so I looked at rocks more.

you're really messing around with your ankle, it really can happen that it won't heal normally if you plan to abuse it and force it like this unnecessarily!

Today I did the tour from Kam.Bistrica over Kokrsko sedlo to Kočna (yes quite long). Morning promised a lot so I headed towards Grintovec, turned to Ovnov čir to Dolce. Weather still ok around 9 during ascent to Kokrska Kočna it started closing. No views. Continued path to Jezerska Kočna (really very little space up there ) between both Kočnas at one place ripped peg holding wire. Descended over Dolška škrbina back to Dolce and dir Kokrsko sedlo, whole path thick fog strong wind gusts, rain luckily no. Very nice tour and very demanding for more experienced

If anyone's interested in how it looks in the section under Kočna. A sling and a maillon come very handy for pulling the backpack.

You can go from Suhadolnik over Grdi graben first to Kokrska Kočna, continue to Jezerska and over Dolška škrbina back to Dolcev. From there you can extend to Kokrsko sedlo so it's not the same path.

I went from Ravenska Kočna up and down the Kremžar path because time-wise no other option fitted (at 11 on the summit still clear sky with strong sun, at 12 already all in fog and clouds, so excellent timing). Me and four young Slovenians all equipped with climbing harnesses and kits but not helmets although all sorts fly down the path.

@ciendaw... you can go the traverse Suhadolnik (over Taško and Grdi graben) - K. and J. Kočna - Grintovec - Kokrsko sedlo - Suhadolnik (old path). The path drags on quite a bit, but I think it's worth the effort. Maybe just warn that a helmet is almost necessary due to the high friability on these paths.

Keber1 went from Češka koča on the classic path to Kočne – therefore via the Kremžarjeva path, which is the most common and favorite approach of hikers to Kočne. Nice is the one from Suhadolnik, as Mazu mentioned. It's the nicest and my favorite. It can be extended to Grintavec and then over Streha Grintavca, usual access to Grintavec to Zoisova koča and back to the valley. Gloves for scree and a mandatory helmet are recommended.
