Does anyone perhaps know who supplies Kredarica (helicopter) and what the supply plan is? I'm interested because I'd like to catch a shot at the moment the helicopter arrives. Thanks in advance for any info.

You have about ten days, because you missed today's change. Supplying is finished for this season. Lp

Franci, what will be in ten days if supplying is finished? I'll have to ask the meteorologists... Thanks.

Changes of meteorologists are done by helicopter about every ten days - depending on the weather. Lp

Today a minute before sunrise at Kredarica. Conditions are ideal. From cca. 2250m onwards walked with crampons (no hassle with snow). Could be done without too.

After yesterday's winter tour to Geiselkopf, today a morning tour to Kredarica in beautiful autumn conditions. Path from Krma without special features, and the passages over torrents at the basin have been repaired with concrete, so no more problem to get to the end. Lp

The road to Krma was somewhat eroded by the recent rain, the only problematic part seemed to me the crossing over sand deposits just before the parking lot, where water made a slightly deeper ditch. It went okay, on the way back I even played a bit of road builder; now it's better. Otherwise a real winter tour, since I was very early I mostly broke trail in virgin snow. I've really missed that for a while. If you have touring skis, you can go all the way on skis, I preferred on foot today, there was also the first skier of the season who on the way back at Kalvarija triggered a nice avalanche of southern snow.

Tomorrow I was thinking of doing the first ski tour to Kredarica, just wondering what's the realistic amount of snow and from where on could one go up with skins? Thanks!

I'd wait a bit longer in your place, unless you have skis (maybe dogs) for one-time use. Today there was quite a bit of south-facing and it took away quite some. It'll snow again If you go anyway, you'll step on skis somewhere around Vrtača.

I'm wondering, what's the path to Kredarica from Krma like? Has anyone been to Kredarica today? D

After talking to the weatherman—around 12:00 after this heavy snowfall there was still no one. In the next days we can expect a rush of skiers, as snow sets quickly, so ski descent will be good. Expect another week of dry weather, minus possible 1-2 cm on Saturday. lp

This morning to Prgarca. In Bukovje I put on skis (snow hard), somewhere in the middle of the scree the slabs start. In Vrtača there's already more than a meter of snow. Snow of all kinds, from soft to slabs that hold a person and everything in between. Avalanches have already come down from below Draški vrhovi, elsewhere I didn't see avalanches (debris). I'd say higher than Prgarca towards Kredarica there's still plenty of slab avalanches waiting for the rush of ski tourers. I wouldn't go higher for a few days. Descent was given the described snow types just "show what you got". Took off skis on the lower third of the slope in Bukovje. A more keen one could have skied to the car, but I felt sorry for the skis.
