Nice photos you took, like you read my mind. I was thinking about approach (to Kredarica) with or without skis. As I see on photos I'll go with skis. Thanks @eftomi LP and safe in mountains!

@Swiss, I don't know if it's still worth it with skis, personally I wouldn't take them for this tour from Krma.

Igor, hello!
Mainly I plan to carry them to ski a nice flank from the Kredarica ridge to the north side towards Kotel, and to Begunjski vrh if there's still some snow. This flank is not visible on the upper photo, but I assume it's still covered. Maybe I'm wrong?

The best optimal would still be to ski from Kredarica to Kot and Rž area. I think the narrow snow band from Peklo reaches under the wall quite low towards the spring, as I saw on some video. Krma is already bare and skis would just drag on the back.

Can I ask, what are the conditions like for Kredarica? I'd go on Friday, around 2am from Krma, just wondering, probably need gaiters, ice axe, helmet and crampons? How much sliding is there? For me this would be the first such ascent in these conditions, although we had winter alpinism in the army... thanks in advance...

On Saturday I didn't use any of the listed, everything was on and in the backpack, on the way back it would've been nice to put on gaiters but my pants were already so soaked it was completely irrelevant...sinking up to.... No sliding, a bit below Kalvarija there were traces of slight sliding of fresh snow, keep even more to the right edge, you'll see footprints, not straight up....Ascent is nothing demanding, bit of fitness and lots of good will and you're there..but don't know why you plan to visit summit so soon... Conditions there are quite different, read gregcs1's post....good luck

@correction I was up there on Sunday...if you're only going to Kredarica it's a shame to start so early and walk in the dark...nice in the morning when dawn breaks and sun peeks behind the mountain...

Yesterday we also took advantage of the sunny forecast and headed to Kredarica for coffee.
Quiet and peaceful morning in Krma interrupted by birdsong, which was really a pleasure to listen to. Long winter left furrows on the path, which is dry and surrounded by beautiful flowers. The last part of ascent on snow is not problematic, no sinking. The path rewarded with sunny and warm weather. We had a great time
