This morning again for coffee with friendly meteorologists. For a change on foot. The path is quite hard - solid ice in places. Crampons Verige Lesce performed very well again. Snow is melting fast, probably still possible to ski to Malo polje.

I was up on Thursday. Road plowed to Kovinarska koča, 3-5 parking spots, that day quite crowded, deep tire tracks, without 4WD wouldn't get in. Pulled ski track to Triglavski dom and skied back to the valley in good conditions. Later all changed of course, snow froze, but still sinks deep I think. We'll see if anyone posts mežikanje

Although everything below was in fog, there was beautiful sun at the top

This time I treated myself to Kredarica for two days. Yesterday two skiers and five Czech snowshoers arrived at Kredarica, who took 10h for the path. Today some skiers and a hiker without snowshoes came. The path will get trodden slowly, as many hikers were interested in it. Biggest problem might be parking (shovel mandatory). Today four on top. Ridge mostly blown to hard base. Back skied over former glacier to cirque under Staničeva koča then up to saddle above it, from there along summer path to old hunters' hut. Lower across under Draški vrhovi, where crust held all day. Two great days in finally real winter conditions. Lp

Igor and Franci, many thanks for the information and pictures. Today very early I also found myself in Krma. The road to Krma is a real (non-dangerous) adrenaline experience. Parking was still free (at three in the morning), when I went back in the afternoon some were parked at the parking lot at the end of the village, others along the path. I harnessed quite outdated skis, which held until the first serious slope, then I transformed from a skier (tourer) to a walker (hiker). Today there were quite a few of us at Kredarica, some also on Triglav.

The descent was fantastic today, maybe beer and coffee at the always very friendly meteorologists also contributed to the mood. Only on the road in Krma (to Kovinarska hut) it went very slowly on southern snow (it's spring after all). Tour for 5.
