Today Thursday and dreams allowed. Tomorrow Friday new day. Saturday is Saturday and it might be that then, day after tomorrow on Saturday, everything different than tomorrow Friday shows.
On Kriška, Ratitovec, Tolsti and more...
But for a whole month day by day almost same in Postojna Cave; temp, humidity, wind or calm...

Daaam, thanks. I'm asking mainly because of the safety of the participant, so I don't take her into some 'dangerous waters'. Me, if I went alone, I'd have all the gear with me anyway and adapt to the situation on the spot.

i went two years ago for the first time after apparently 17 years to the mountains, which was kinda embarrassing for a 34-year-old back then, right? wasn't really into sports. and me and my buddy hit this route:

knew it'd be a big challenge. almost 'died' near the top. on the way back knee pain of course. but the last good half hour of return - around 17:00 i think - i'll remember for life: thunderstorm, part of path became real stream, lightning, flashes. luckily protected except pants and backpack with dry clothes. water in boots. crazy. real baptism experienced. punishment for inactivity in young years.
now no health issues even if 3 days straight in high mountains. food, drink, clothes, gear, weather under control.

True, Postojna Cave has stable weather but as I know the entrance fee is pretty salty..

@lakkon; hard to say in advance, we were there Saturday and crampons in last part weren't unnecessary (icy path), so warmly recommend you take them just in case; gaiters and ice axe not needed; great views up top, so just hit the trail; best

On Sunday 27.1. from Gozd to Tolsti vrh. Up through the gully, back over Kriška gora past the hut. Path well trodden, recommend crampons.

Today I made great use of last year's vacation since I spent it in the mountains. Went to Tolsti Vrh, up through the gully, down past the hut at Kriška. Conditions fitting after yesterday's snowfall. Went first, so got pretty deep. Some places drifted over half a meter, mostly breaking through 20-30cm. Along summit ridge windblown to rock. Just before the top caught by another hiker with whom I exchanged a few words. Stopped at the hut to quench my thirst. Also, tomorrow I think it's the 7th in a row, the hike in memory of Štefan Bukovec. Have a nice time, unfortunately I won't be there.

I too hiked this path on Saturday, most of it already written by the previous one, wonderful day and conditions, sunshine and windless.

Today from Gozd past the bench to Kriška gora and a bit towards Tolsti vrh...up to where the predecessor made the track..not much...weather was foggy, later the sun appeared, which beautified the day. Down we went steeply. We had dog company, so we didn't do extra trampling, it somehow didn't go for him...there is really a lot of snow...

Kokta, judging by your photos, is the path from Kriška gora to Tolsti vrh well trodden and no special equipment needed and no special dangers due to snow?? Thanks in advance for reply. P.
